Celtics' Payton Pritchard Makes Feelings Clear on Jaylen Brown Trade Rumors
This past week, the rumors finally ended about the Boston Celtics' Jaylen Brown being involved in a trade to the Milwaukee Bucks, as Giannis Antetokounmpo went to the Miami Heat in a deal instead.
One would think that meant the end of speculation about the Celtics parting ways with Brown, but not so fast, as rumors have persisted about a potential trade.
That could mean a very different team on the court for Boston, which was the No.
2 seed in the Eastern Conference this past season.
Brown's teammate, Payton Pritchard, was recently asked his thoughts about what it would mean if Brown was traded, and the Celtics guard dismissed it as his concern.
"Its part of the business, I guess.
Its tough.
Youre going to be thrown into conversations all the time.
But its higher than my pay grade.
So Ill worry about myself and trying to get better.
And whatever the team looks like next year, well be ready to go," Pritchard told WMTW News 8.

After all, Pritchard was part of the team's success with Brown last season, while their teammate, Jayson Tatum, was sidelined recovering from a brutal injury.
Tatum returned to play in just 16 games in the regular season and in nearly all of his team's first-round playoff series against the Philadelphia 76ers.
However, Tatum sat on the bench watching his team lose Game 7 since the Celtics didn't want to risk further injury to him as their postseason continued.
Meanwhile, this offseason has brought a lot of questions and intrigue about Brown's future in Boston.
With the team's attempt to get the Green Freak from the Bucks failing to materialize, ESPN's Shams Charania reported that the Celtics are still "actively engaged" in trade talks about Brown, with "multiple teams" interested.
The buzz about Brown still possibly being dealt to a new NBA team continues not only amid the Heat getting Antetokounmpo, but also the Timberwolves trading away Julius Randle to the Brooklyn Nets, and then trading with the Charlotte Hornets to acquire Lonzo Ball.
Teams are making moves, and there's still potential for a Jaylen Brown trade, with SI's Chris Mannix recently reporting a rival executive said the Celtics are trying to add a big man to their roster with Brown as part of the potential deal.
Instead of a trade, Boston could also attempt to smooth over their relationship with their former NBA Finals MVP, who helped the team win the championship just a few seasons ago.
Brown is eligible to sign a lucrative new contract extension on July 26, meaning the Celtics are in a time crunch when it comes to either trading him or keeping him happy in Boston.
