Who won the Tewaaraton Award? Men's, women's lacrosse stars chosen for top 2025 honor | Sporting News

There's no more prestigious honor in college lacrosse than the Tewaaraton Award.
Often compared to football's Heisman Trophy, the Tewaaraton recognizes the top player each season in men's lacrosse and women's lacrosse at the Division I level.
Legends of the game have won this trophy, and the 2025 winners are certainly worthy of the honor after it was announced Thursday night.
Who won the men's Tewaaraton Award in 2025? Cornell's CJ Kirst was chosen as the men's lacrosse Tewaaraton Award winner in 2025.
Kirst put up a single-season record-tying 82 goals for the Big Red.
He finished his career as the all-time leading goal scorer in D-I men's lacrosse.
Fittingly, Kirst put up an absurd six goals in 32 minutes to lead Cornell to its first national title since 1977.

Humphrey becomes the first North Carolina winner of the award.
Only a freshman, Humphrey racked up 90 goals, a new freshman record and a UNC single-season record.
She also had 28 assists.
And like Kirst, Humphrey led the Tar Heels to a national title.
