MADISON Robin Pingeton scored some help for the perimeter with her first recruit.The Wisconsin womens basketball coachs second recruit will give the Badgers help in the paint.According to On3, Gift Uchenna, a 6-foot-3 forward from Southern Illinois, has committed to the Badgers.

The native of Ebonyi State, Nigeria averaged 14.5 points, 12.8 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per game for the Salukis, who went 4-26 this past season.Uchenna ranked second in the nation in rebounding, fourth in double doubles (21) and 25th in blocks.Despite Southern Illinois struggles, Uchenna was a third-team all-conference selection in the Missouri Valley Conference and a member of the leagues all-newcomer team.She joins former North Carolina State guard Laci Steele as players who committed to Wisconsin after Pingeton was hired.More: UW womens basketball transfer portal tracker.
