'Rating’s Low' – Draymond Green Comments On Experts Calling For His Suspension, Says His Name Helps the NBA’s Low Viewership

Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green has been the topic among NBA experts following his flagrant 1 foul on Memphis Grizzlies Zach Edey.
On Friday, Green committed a foul on Edey after the rookies foot was caught on the veterans arm.
The sequence caused the Grizzlies big man to fall to the ground.
The refs initially declared it a transition-take foul.
They later changed it to a flagrant 1 foul, though.
Kendrick Perkins , a former NBA champion and current ESPN analyst, demanded that the four-time champion be suspended.
On Tuesdays episode of First Take, Perkins suggested the league issue the punishment.
I actually think Draymond should be suspended for an extended period of time, Perkins said.
Were talking about a play where he pulled on an opponents Achilles while the opponent was going in the opposite direction.
And were talking about a guy in Zach Edey whos 7-foot-3, probably 300 pounds.
"I actually think Draymond [Green] should be suspended for an extended period of time...
This could have been a season-ending injury [for Zach Edey]...
There's no room, no place in our game for those type of actions." Kendrick Perkins pic.twitter.com/ZAtXxY9b2m ClutchPoints (@ClutchPoints) November 19, 2024 However, the Warriors star argued experts are pushing for him to be suspended for a specific reason.
Green addressed it in his podcast, The Draymond Green Show with former NBA star Baron Davis, where he stated that his name helps the leagues viewership problems.
Im playing too well, BD.
And guess what, the ratings are low, Green said.
We know Draymonds name sparks buzz.
We know that name carries weight.
If many people around the league think Draymond should be suspended, guess what, Draymond will be suspended.

ESPNs Stephen A.
Smith, on the other hand, trusts the officials call on his actions toward Edey which was upgraded to a flagrant 1 foul.
However, Smith doesnt think the eight-time All-Defensive deserves such punishment.
Draymond Green called Grizzlies coach a softie Draymond Green used his platform to call out Grizzlies head coach Taylor Jenkins and called him a softie.
This came after Jenkins addressed what happened last week in front of the media.
Green didnt hold back his thoughts regarding the coach.
You got janky Taylor Jenkins, whos a softie, Green said.
Bro this game 11 and youre running to the media crying about a foul.
Guess what you just taught your 73 rookie? How to be emotional and run to the media talking about a foul.
Were big men, you dont run to the media crying about a foul.
