4A high school football playoffs: Here are the teams that are heading to the quarterfinals

PHOENIX The playoffs are upon us here on the 35th season of Friday Night Fever , Arizona's No.

1 and longest-running high school football show! The playoffs have now begun in all of the high school football conferences in Arizona 6A, 5A, 4A, 3A, 2A and 1A and will begin in the Open Division next week.

In this article, we'll take a look at the results from the first round of the 4A playoffs and preview the matchups for the quarterfinals.

The four quarterfinal games will be played on Friday, Nov.

22 and each game will be hosted by the higher-seeded school.

The 4A State Championship Game will be played at 4 p.m.

on Friday, Dec.

6 at Arizona State University's Mountain America Stadium in Tempe.

There will be a new state champion in 4A this year as last year's champion, Canyon Del Oro, lost Friday night in the first round.
