Wide receiver Bryson Hayes decommits from Nebraska football, flips to Kansas

As the Nebraska football team makes late additions to its 2025 recruiting class, departures are possible too.

Thats what happened to Nebraska on Saturday, when Maize (Kansas) wide receiver Bryson Hayes announced that he will be decommitting from Nebraska to join the Kansas Jayhawks instead.

A three-star prospect whose monster 60-catch, 900-yard junior season placed himself on Nebraskas radar, Hayes was one of the first players to join the Huskers 2025 recruiting class.

Hayes speed helped him land an offer from a summer camp, and he emerged as one of NUs top wide receiver targets in the months that followed.

When Hayes pledged into NUs 2025 class in April, he chose the Huskers over in-state schools Kansas and Kansas State, programs hed previously visited.

While the Huskers recently plucked four-star lineman Julian JuJu Marks from Kansas, flipping the Jayhawks top-ranked in-state prospect, Kansas returned the favor by landing Hayes.
