Bosas behavior violated the NFL rule prohibiting players from wearing or displaying items which relate to political activities or causes, other non-football events, causes or campaigns or charitable causes or campaigns.

The rule includes when players are visible to stadium and TV audiences, including postgame interviews.

President-elect Donald Trump has used the slogan Make America Great Again in his 2016, 2020 and 2024 presidential campaigns.

GO FURTHER NFL fines 49ers Nick Bosa $11,255 for wearing MAGA hat postgame: Source Chuba Hubbards unfinished business in Carolina (Getty Images) Most of the discussion after the Panthers signed running back Chuba Hubbard to a four-year, $33.2 million extension focused on why head coach Dave Canales and GM Dan Morgan wanted to keep Hubbard around.

But what hasnt been addressed: Why did Hubbard want to stay in an organization thats done nothing but lose since he was drafted in the fourth round in 2021? A lot of people could definitely say, Go somewhere else for your career.

Do this.

Do that.

Maybe wait and see what happens.

But Ive been committed to the Panthers since Ive been here through thick and thin, Hubbard said after the Panthers practiced at FC Bayern Munichs academy stadium.

I kept working, kept working to try to change the culture here.

I wanted to be a part of that.

I still want to be a part of it, obviously, he added.

I want to see this thing get turned around and I know it will.

...

This is where I want to be and I want to do great things here.

Hubbard ranks fifth in the NFL in rushing and is on pace to become the Panthers first 1,000-yard rusher since Christian McCaffrey in 2019.

Besides his production, Canales and Morgan believe Hubbard embodies what the team wants to stand for as far as leadership and work ethic are concerned.

I couldnt be happier, Canales said.

When I found out the deal was getting done, I was so excited and Chuba and I shared a cool moment.

Because it takes both sides.

Hes gotta believe in what were doing, and we believe in what he does.

GO FURTHER Panthers, Chuba Hubbard agree to 4-year extension: What it means for Carolinas future backfield Roger Goodell confirms rumors of 2025 NFL game in Berlin (Getty Images) As the New York Giants face the Carolina Panthers in Munich this weekend, local fans wonder if American football would ever kick off in the countrys capital after commissioner Roger Goodell said last November that Berlin has a lot of interest in hosting an NFL game.

And Goodell answered, hinting at a game to be played in Berlin next season.

GO FURTHER Roger Goodell on rumors of 2025 NFL game in Berlin: Believe them Giants trying to win more than a game in Germany MUNICH Standing on a jet bridge Wednesday evening at Newark Airport, waiting to embark on a flight to Munich, two men examined their dark blue boarding passes.

These werent your typical boarding passes, mind you.

The cards that had been handed out to each passenger featured the route, of course EWR to MUC in this case but the usual personal details had been replaced by the words Giants Fan Flight.

As part of the New York Giants partnership with United Airlines, one of these fan flights has departed Newark Airport for Munich once a day from Wednesday through Friday ahead of the Giants game Sunday against the Carolina Panthers.

Also featured on those blue boarding passes was a graphic with the New York and Munich skylines, along with a Giants player bridging a football field between them a perfect depiction of what the Giants are hoping to accomplish with their trip to Munich.

The Giants arent just playing a game in Germany, theyre aiming to make their mark there and grow an already burgeoning Giants fan base.

While the two men waited to board the flight, they chatted with one another in German, but the English words New York Giants and American football could clearly be overheard in their conversation.

That kind of brand recognition is exactly what the Giants are hoping for and looking to build upon this week.

The flight the two boarded, which featured team towels at each seat, was packed with Giants fans decked out in red, blue and white sweatshirts and hats headed to Germany to watch their team play in this NFL seasons international series finale.

But Sundays game is only part of the Giants story in Germany .

GO FURTHER How the New York Giants are trying to win more than a game in Germany Germany prepares for its Super Bowl A weekly ritual begins when the clock strikes 7pm on a Sunday in Germany.

Whether over a barbecue, a meet-up with friends, or from the comfort of their homes, hundreds of thousands settle in for their dose of NFL action, much like their American counterparts.

On the channel that broadcasts the German versions of Im a Celebrity...

Get Me Out of Here! (Ich bin ein Star Holt mich hier raus!) and Germanys Got Talent (Das Supertalent), fans can watch one of the early slate games live followed by another in the later slot.

Two games for, well, nothing.

The free-to-air German-language broadcast makes viewing easy and is helping to attract a new generation of NFL enthusiasts in Europe.

Close to 70,000 will visit the sold-out Allianz Arena in Munich on Sunday as the New York Giants and Carolina Panthers face off in the final game of this years international series, giving German fans the rare chance to experience the NFL live on home soil.

It will be the fourth time Germany has hosted a regular-season game, the first being at the same venue in 2022 while Frankfurts Deutsche Bank Park played host to two games in 2023, which was the year RTL started broadcasting NFL games in the country after acquiring exclusive free-to-air rights until 2028.

The broadcasters audience is growing.

On average, the channel brought in 710,000 viewers during the 7pm regular-season games in 2023, up from 660,000 the year before when it was shown on ProSieben, also free-to-air.

The later game averaged 490,000 viewers, an increase of 50,000 viewers from the previous season, RTL told The Athletic .

Februarys Super Bowl saw an average of 1.71million fans watch on RTL, with peaks of up to 2.27m, the broadcaster said.

In the United Kingdom, by comparison, viewership peaked at 761,000 and 996,000 on broadcasters Sky Sports and ITV respectively, the latter a free-to-air channel.

The atmosphere we are trying to bring (to the broadcast) is first and foremost fun and excitement about the game of American football, get people excited and get them to fall in love, Patrick Esume, an expert NFL commentator on RTL, told The Athletic, and the second step is to try to get some deep insights for those fans who have been around the NFL for some time.
