The Toronto Raptors recently retired Vince Carters No.

15 jersey to honor his legacy.

And after being the first player in franchise history to receive such an honor, many are wondering who should be next.

According to the man himself, Kyle Lowry is next in line because of what he has done for the franchise with fellow club legend DeMar DeRozan.

I think Kyle Lowry, for everything he has added and contributed to the team for nine years, Carter said on the Run It Back show.

Obviously DeRozan is another player who could also be the one, but Kyle won a ring and was with the franchise for many years so I think it will be him.

He has to be one of the first to consider, thats for sure.

Kyle Lowry was one of the best players ever for the Toronto Raptors since he made the Canada-based team a legitimate contender in the Eastern Conference.

He was a huge part of the franchises first championship in 2019 when they defeated the Golden State Warriors in six games during the NBA Finals.

Putting Lowry over his former backcourt mate DeMar DeRozan makes sense because of the formers championship title, as the latter was traded for Kawhi Leonard, who won Finals MVP.

The other candidates for the Toronto Raptors Kyle Lowry is not the only player who will have his jersey retired for the Toronto Raptors because DeMar DeRozan , Chris Bosh , and Kawhi Leonard should also be in the mix.

DeRozan spent the first nine seasons of his NBA career in Canada alongside Kyle Lowry.

He is a six-time NBA All-Star and a two-time member of the All-NBA Second Team.

Bosh also spent the first few years of his NBA career with the Toronto Raptors and is the franchises all-time leader in rebounds .

Leonard, of course, helped bring an NBA title in his lone year there.

The Klaw is the only player in franchise history to win the Finals MVP award in Toronto.
