On Friday, the Lakers return home to begin a set of three-straight home games, beginning with a matchup against the Sixers.

With the G League beginning this weekend as well, Los Angeles has a couple of options for where James will play.

Instead, James is expected to make his G League debut on Saturday when the South Bay Lakers host the Salt Lake City Stars.

The Lakers only plan for James to play home games in the G League, according to ESPN's Shams Charania , allowing the rookie more opportunities to play for the NBA team.

After Saturday's game, the South Bay Lakers don't play another home game until Nov.
