Anonymous NBA scout thinks Spurs superstar is a liability on offense | Sporting News

An anonymous NBA scout believes that San Antonio Spurs superstar center Victor Wembanyama is an offensive liability, and only contributes defensively.
They just think Wemby is not impactful on offense.
"He's absolutely awesome on defense, and not impactful at all on offense.
He just looks like he's playing without a whole lot of direction." While it seems weird to say, theyre right.
Wembys offensive production has actually gone down since his rookie season, even with the acquisition of the facilitator All-Star Chris Paul.
In his rookie season, Wemby was averaging a little over 21 points per game.
This season, he is averaging four points less, a little under 18 a game.
His defensive stats are still amazing, as his steals have gone up from 1.2 to 1.6, and his blocks have gone from 3.6 to 3.7.
His defensive rebounding has gone down however, from 8.4 to 7.7.
Wemby should have had a huge jump offensively, but for some reason, it hasnt happened.
Hopefully, the Spurs pull it together and make him into the beast the league knows he can be.
