Golden State Warriors superstar point guard Stephen Currys return to action after a three-game absence due to a left peroneal strain was a success.

On Monday night, Curry led the way for the Dubs in their 125-112 win on the road over the Washington Wizards .

Curry, however, was noticeably not on the floor when the Warriors started the second half.

Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr later revealed the reasoning behind that move following the game.

Its why he didnt start the second half.

Steve Kerr: Assuming he feels good, I dont anticipate a big minutes restriction in Boston (on Wednesday).

Golden State Warriors win in Stephen Currys first game back from injury Curry indeed played only 24 minutes in the Wizards game, but he was able to collect 24 points on 7-for-15 shooting from the floor, including a total of four made 3-pointers.

He played just a little over 12 minutes in the second half where he had 16 of his total scoring output.

Golden State was simply trying to be a little careful with their approach to the aging superstar, especially since he just came off a three-game absence due to an injury.

The 36-year-old Curry will look to keep it going this coming Wednesday when they try to stop the defending NBA champions Boston Celtics at TD Garden.

So far in the 2024-25 NBA season, the two-time NBA Most Valuable Player is averaging 19.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 6.5 assists per outing.
