RCTC women's basketball team demolishes Vermilion

AUSTIN For the second time in as many days, the Rochester Community and Technical College womens basketball team buried its opponent.

RCTC beat the Waldorf University junior varsity by 50 points on Friday.

Saturday, it was even better than that, crushing Vermilion 111-29.

ADVERTISEMENT It was the second straight big game for Chatfield graduate Kara Goetzinger.

The sophomore forward had 28 points and six rebounds, blistering from the field (13-for-15 shooting).

Allana Bates came off the bench to score 26 points.

She knocked down 6 of 10 3-point shots.

Macaya Copeland had 17 points and Aniyah Reuben 11.

RCTC shot a red-hot 56 percent from the field, including 11-of-27 from 3-point distance..
