Golden Knights coach calls forward ‘predictable’

LAS VEGAS Vegas Golden Knights coach Bruce Cassidy called forward Tanner Perason predictable.
Hes predictable.
Hes a left winger you see on the left side of the ice a lot, Cassidy said after the teams 7-3 victory against the San Jose Sharks .
He goes up and down his wing.
Hes good on the walls, so you can trust him to win battles there and get pucks.
For a centerman, those are a couple of things youre looking for.
Youre going through the middle of the ice at top speed, you want to know where your linemates are as much as possible.
Forward Wiliam Karlsson said Pearson was easy to play with.
But what makes Pearson predictable? and easy to play with? He said his style of play makes him a versatile forward who can go on any line.

I try to be in the right position as much as possible.
Win battles, Pearson said.
Simple hockey is the name of the game for me.
Dont try and do anything too fancy to get myself in trouble.
Just stick to that game plan.
It seems to be working.
Pearson signed with the Golden Knights after a strong preseason that earned him a spot on the team.
Thus far, hes been one of the early standouts in the Golden Knights season.
Hes scored three goals with four assists.
Hes also been a steady force on the defensive end, and the penalty kill this season.
The 14-year veteran scored 141 goals in his career with 151 assists.
Hes got enough pace to keep up with the centerman.
Enough grit to win board battles.
Hes got a little bit of everything, Cassidy said.
Hes got good enough hands to make those small-area plays.
Hes carved out a nice career for himself in the league with those attributes.
Hes a nice fit for us.
