FRISCO, Texas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs apologized to WFAA-TV reporter Mike Leslie on Wednesday afternoon for his actions following last weeks game against the 49ers.

Diggs was upset at a social media post by Leslie regarding his effort on a pass play.

On Sunday night, Diggs confronted Leslie outside the Cowboys locker room.

When Leslie offered to talk about it with Diggs further in the visitors locker room, the cornerback said, talk about deez nuts.

Diggs did not speak formally with reporters after the game.

But on Wednesday he spoke for nearly 10 minutes about his play, his brothers injury, and of course what occurred between him and Leslie.

Diggs gave several cans of Dees Nuts peanuts to Leslie as a peace offering.

Both men smiled and hugged, with Leslie also saying he was wrong for assuming Diggs wasnt trying hard.

From my viewpoint, I didnt think I did anything wrong, Diggs said.

But everyone has their own opinion.

Later Diggs said: Yeah, I shouldnt [have] reacted the way I reacted.

I apologize for that.

Most of it caught me at the right time.

Trevon Diggs brother, Stefon, will miss the regular season with a torn ACL.

Stefon, who plays for the Texans, almost played against his brother last year but Trevon was out with a torn ACL.

Its sad, I just felt for him because I know exactly what hes going through, Trevon Diggs said.

I literally just went through all of that.

I make sure Im there for him.

Just keep his head up.

I know he wanted to be alone a little minute, I just gave him his space, let him think about everything.
