Mizzou men's golf completes first day at The Clerico
It was a slow day on the links for Mizzou mens golf on Tuesday at The Clerico in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The Tigers finished 10th out of 13 teams with a combined score of 23-over 384.
Junior Virgilio Paz led the way, tying for 12th.
Paz shot a three-under 67 in the first 18 holes, which included five birdies in a six-hole stretch.
Paz then shot a 6-over 76 in round two.
Following Paz were sophomore Veikka Viskari (9-over, tied for 42nd), graduate Mattias Varjun (11-over, tied for 55th), senior Dagbjartur Sigurbrandsson (11-over, tied for 55th) and freshman Trent Mierl (12-over, tied for 60th).
Day 2 of The Clerico begins Tuesday at 8.30 a.m.

Columbia College womens basketball tops Westminster in exhibition Columbia College took care of Westminster 64-57 in an exhibition at home.
Columbia senior Mallory Shetley and sophomore Lauren Freidrich led the Cougars in scoring with 17.
Sophomore Lexi Miller added 12 points, and senior Abby Backes led the team in rebounds with nine.
Columbia held the Blue Jays to just 32.3% shooting from the field (21/65) and 21.7% from three-point range.
The Cougars open the regular season in the CoMo Classic against University of St.
Mary at 6 p.m.
