The Vegas Golden Knights (7-2-1) remain undefeated on home ice after defeating the Calgary Flames 5-0 Monday night at T-Mobile Arena.

The Golden Knights finished their four-game homestand with four straight wins against Los Angeles, Ottawa, San Jose and Calgary.

The Golden Knights are 7-0-0 at home this season the best home start in franchise history and improve to 7-2-1 on the year.

Alex Pietrangelo and Mark Stone remained hot, and Keegan Kolesar and Nicolas Roy combined for six points in the third period.

Adin Hill recorded his fourth win of the season with a 16-save shutout.

The first period was relatively evenly-matched, though Vegas scored the lone goal of the frame.

Pietrangelo netted his first of the year, giving him nine points in his last four games.

It took Vegas a little while to find its game, but the second period was arguably the Golden Knights best defensive frame and most complete 20 minutes of the year.

The Golden Knights outshot Calgary 16-3 and, once again, came away with the only tally.

Stone, the NHLs First Star of the week, added to his league-high point total with his fifth marker of the year off a feed from Jack Eichel, who took advantage of a turnover in the neutral zone to double Vegas lead 3:30 in.

It was Eichels 100th assist as a member of the Golden Knights.

Kolesar gave the club a 3-0 lead at 2:19 off a feed from Cole Schwindt, who was back in the lineup for Brendan Brisson.

Hill wasnt busy but was perfect, turning aside all 16 shots he faced for his first shutout of the season, third with Vegas and eighth of his career.

The Golden Knights delivered in all three zones with a complete effort against the Flames, outscoring them 5-0 and holding them to just 16 shots.

The Golden Knights demonstrated improvements in various aspects of their game, including having a better command of the neutral zone, winning battles, using active sticks and playing well with the lead.

Vegas didnt make mistakes (including taking just one penalty), managed the puck well, didnt give up odd-man rushes and played a nearly flawless defensive game while lighting the lamp five times, with at least one goal coming in each period.

The second period, in particular, stood out, as the Golden Knights didnt allow a shot until the final 2:07.

Kolesar had another monster performance, and the fourth line was stellar.

Not only did Kolesar, Roy and Schwindt team up for eight points in the third period, but they led 14-5 in Corsi, 9-2 in shots and 9-4 in scoring chances while managing an 83.57 percent expected goal share in just 7:28.

Talk about efficiency.

Once again, the Golden Knights got offense from three different lines, but everyone contributed to the victory.

That includes Hill.

It may not have been a busy night for him, but when it was a one- or two-goal game, he still made the saves he needed to make.

The Golden Knights remain perfect at home, outscoring opponents 39-16 in seven games.

They will look to carry over that success when they hit the road against the Kings Wednesday night in Los Angeles.
