Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer told the panel on Marty & McGee that hed tell his younger self how important it is to have the right coaching staff around him.

DeBoer says this after successful seasons at Sioux Falls, Fresno State, and Washington where he maintained many familiar faces on his staff.

The funny thing is theres three guys right there (in the footage) that I just saw yesterday that are here on campus.

Thats whats cool, two of the guys right at the front.

Your experiences will always shape who you are.

Theres moments where youve fought when you thought at one point maybe it was gonna be too much to overcome, and those are the things you remember and thats what youre trying to instill in your team.

Just stay the course, keep fighting, whether its within a game, whether its within a week, within a season, over the course of years.

Youve seen it all and you find out that if you just do things with the right people and get the right people around you, you can get through it, DeBoer said on October 26 ahead of a Week 9 matchup with Missouri (h/t BamaOnline ).

Many want DeBoer to listen to his own advice now and replace defensive coordinator Kane Wommack, but his defense limited Nico Iamaleava and the Tennessee offense in a Week 8 loss .

Certainly, Wommack was to blame for Vanderbilt hanging 40 on them in the Crimson Tides most unfathomable loss of the season.

More losses would probably prompt some shakeups on DeBoers staff.

Alabamas fanbase and donors wont tolerate a dramatic down year.

Could Alabama push for larger revenue share to afford Kalen DeBoer buyout? Alabama is one of six teams along with Georgia, Texas, Notre Dame, Michigan, and Ohio State that make the lions share of college footballs revenue.

Assuming FSU and Clemson get paid a higher revenue share from the ACC, its not unreasonable to think the aforementioned six box office draws pulling a similar power move knowing they have all the leverage.

That could help Alabama pay for any future DeBoer payout if it ever gets to that..
