The Minnesota Timberwolves kicked off their season on Tuesday night.

Unfortunately it started with a historic loss at the hands of Bronny and LeBron James.

There is still the ongoing ownership battle though , and thats not a fight the new contingent plans to lose .

Glen Taylor has an upcoming arbitration hearing with both Marc Lore and Alex Rodriguez on November 4th.

It is there that a significant step will be made in the process.

Resolution from that meeting could come quickly, and it seems there could be a changing of hands.

Minnesota Timberwolves could finally be switching owners There was a time when Alex Rodriguez and Marc Lore sought to own a portion of the Minnesota Timberwolves alongside Glen Taylor.

That relationship has broken down as this process has gone on, and now they are looking to buy him out completely.

Thats a process that The Athletics Jon Krawczynski has additional insight on.

As the hearings approach, Lore and Rodriguez are positioning themselves to be ready to immediately purchase full ownership of the team, should things break their way, league sources told The Athletic...

If Rodriguez and Lore prevail, their ownership group will be brought to the NBAs Board of Governors for final approval as team owners.

Recently on the Pat McAfee Show , ESPN Insider Shams Charania talked about the money that Rodriguez and Lore currently have sitting in a JP Morgan account.

They seem to be of the belief that they can win this case, and the funds will be transferred to complete the sale.

Originally headed by just the pair of them, Rodriguez and Lore also now have Michael Bloomberg and Eric Schmidt as part of their group.

"Within a month we should know who's gonna be the owner of the Minnesota Timberwolves..

I'm hearing that Alex Rodriguez & Marc Lore have $940M sitting in a JP Morgan account to be wired to Glen Taylor to finish this purchase of the team..

They're trying to buy this team...

November 4 is when arbitration starts.

Glen Taylor against Alex Rodriguez and Marc Lore.

I believe, from what I hear, within a month we should know whos going to be the owner of this team.

Whats interesting is I am hearing that Alex Rodriguez and Marc Lore have $940 million sitting in a JP Morgan account, right now, to be wired to Glen Taylor to finish this purchase of the team.

Not only just to get their 60-70% share, but to buy the team 100% in full from Glen Taylor.

There are no guarantees as to how this will play out, but it does seem that there is building momentum in the favor of a change.

Glen Taylor may be arguing semantics in pulling his team off the market .

Of course they got substantially more valuable in the past calendar year, but plenty of that was on the backs of decisions that the new group helped to make.

At any rate, we seem to be coming close to finality for this whole situation.

While the Timberwolves arent letting the process impact them on the court, it would be nice to reach a conclusion and start planning the future.
