However, a return to T-Mobile Arena proved to be exactly what the doctor ordered for the Golden Knights.

Vegas looked like a completely different team at home, jumping out to an early lead and never looking back.

The Golden Knights led 3-0 after the first period and continued their domination throughout, cruising to a 6-1 win.

Hertls Big Night After a relatively quiet start to the season, Tomas Hertl broke through in a big way on Tuesday night.

Through the first six games of the season, the Czech center had recorded just three points and had a minus three rating.

Against Los Angeles, however, Hertl had a signature performance, scoring two goals and adding two assists to go along with it.

For his impressive showing, Hertl was named the games first star.

Samsonov Impresses With goaltender Adin Hill struggling to start the season , Golden Knights head coach Bruce Cassidy turned to Ilya Samsonov in net for the second consecutive game .

The result was by far the best performance by a Vegas goaltender on the season thus far.

Samsonov stopped 33 of the 34 shots that he faced Tuesday night, good for a .971 save percentage.

The Russian netminder was named the games third star for strong performance.

While not getting into specific plans, Cassidy has said that Hill and Samsonov will continue to operate on a rotation going forward.

With the Golden Knights playing back-to-back games Friday and Saturday night, the plan is for each goalie to start one of those games.
