The Raptors have a promising roster of relatively young players, with Scottie Barnes and RJ Barrett being the most important players on the roster.

While the squad is still far from a team that can actively compete for the NBA title, one player can become the spark plug Darko Rajakovic needs to turn the season around for them.

Immanuel Quickley may have been a secondary name in the OG Anunoby trade, but he instantly proved his worth to the Raptors organization.

After the franchise rewarded him with a massive contract to keep him north of the border, ESPN expects more from him as he joins their Top 100 list.

Toronto Raptors Immanuel Quickley makes ESPN Top 100 Players list at 64 ESPN released its latest Top 100 Players list to give NBA fans an idea of which players to look out for before the season officially starts.

There have been some interesting rankings on several players, but Raptors fans would be happy to see Quickley break through the Top-100 threshold as he lands at #64.

Chris Herring wrote an interesting review on how Quickley fared last season to warrant such a ranking: Quickley, still just 25 years old, took the reins of the rebuilding Toronto offense last season and will seek to build on a solid first impression: 18.6 points and 6.8 assists per game on almost 40% shooting from 3 over 38 games.

Specifically, Quickley should improve from a couple of spots inside the arc, where he historically has been better than he was in that half-season stint with the Raptors.

His midrange and short, floater-range field goal percentages with Toronto (29.6% and 37.1%, respectively, per Basketball-Reference) both would have registered as career lows.

The Kentucky product wasnt given many opportunities to show his talents in the Big Apple, so its great for the Raptors to get such a player spreading his wings for them.

Fans can expect even better performances out of the guard with a full training camp with the team under his belt.
