The Jets and Bills have a bit of a history with one another, and some bad blood spilled over to Monday night's hard-fought game in the form of a few skirmishes .

Between two of the biggest names on the field, though, it was all love.

Jets QB Aaron Rodgers and Bills safety Damar Hamlin swapped jerseys after Buffalo's 23-20 win , bringing together a future Hall of Famer with four MVPs and a player whose brush with death made international headlines less than two years ago.

The moments immediately after the end of the game couldn't have been too enjoyable for Rodgers, whose final pass was intercepted when Mike Williams fell down, but the Jets QB left a heartfelt message for Hamlin on New York's throwback jersey.

Here's a look at what Rodgers said to Hamlin after "Monday Night Football." Youre an inspiration to me and millions! Much love, my brother! Rodgers wrote on the jersey, shouting out the remarkable journey Hamlin made from cardiac arrest back to the football field.

Aaron Rodgers had his jersey sent to the Bills locker room for safety Damar Hamlin.

Hamlin said he felt like a kid on Christmas, and it was one of the best gifts Hamlin was just 7 when Rodgers entered the NFL, meaning the four-time MVP is someone he almost certainly watched and admired growing up.

That the two met on the field in 2024 is a testament to Rodgers' longevity, but also Hamlin's perseverance.

Hamlin nearly lost his life on an NFL field in January 2023.

Once he was resuscitated following cardiac arrest, he still had steps to clear just to ensure he could live a normal life.

He not only cleared those steps, but he also managed to get back on the field by the start of the 2023 season.

That wasn't the end of Hamlin's journey back, as he earned a starting job this season and has started each of the Bills' first six games.

The 26-year-old safety recorded his first career interception in a blowout win over the Jaguars in Week 3.

Hamlin and the Bills are riding high at 4-2 as they try to put a penalty-filled game behind them, and he now has a friend in Rodgers.

The two will meet again in Week 17 when Buffalo hosts the Jets..
