Gonzaga Starts 2024-2025 Ranked #6 in the AP Poll

Gonzaga will open up the 2024-2025 season ranked #6 in the country.

This is the 15th straight year that the Zags have been ranked in the preseason Associated Press Top 25.

Only Gonzaga, Duke, Kansas, Kentucky and North Carolina have accomplished that feat.

Mark Fews squad received 1,157 total votes.

One voter had actually picked the Zags as the top team in the land.

Only Kansas, Alabama, UConn, Houston and Iowa State are ahead of Gonzaga in the poll.

In the Battle 4 Atlantis, Gonzaga could have a matchup with #17 Indiana or Louisville (received 4 votes) in the semifinals and/or #10 Arizona in the championship.

Saint Marys (5), Arizona State (2) and San Diego State (2) also received votes.

The AP Poll is fun to have at your disposal but its pretty meaningless until the Zags reach the top of the list.
