While Tennessee has not played Alabama under Kalen DeBoer, the Volunteers may have a way of expecting what DeBoers gameplan will be on Saturday afternoon.

Tennessee linebackers coach William Inge served on DeBoers coaching staff at Washington.

He served as the Huskies associate head coach, co-defensive coordinator, and linebackers coach.

In addition, he was a part of DeBoers coaching staff at Fresno State.

Inge can provide some insight and perspective into what the Volunteers should expect from DeBoer and the Crimson Tide.

After all, he was tasked with leading his position group and assisted in defensive play-calling duties against DeBoer in practice in each of the last four seasons.

While DeBoer might not be the play-caller, he still plays a large role in creating the offensive gameplan week-in and week-out for the Crimson Tide.

Offensive coordinator Nick Sheridan is the play-caller.

He was a part of DeBoers coaching staff at Washington as well.

Inge will be able to relay some of DeBoer and Sheridans tendencies during game preparations this week.

There is a chance that Alabamas offensive coaching staff alters some things and makes slight changes in play calls to deceive Tennessees defense this week.

It would make sense given Inges knowledge of Kalen DeBoers offense.
