The college football world has yet to let up on Texas Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning.

It comes as no surprise if Mannings weekly stat lines look like his numbers against UTEP: 11-for-25 in passing completions and one passing touchdown, plus two rushing touchdowns.

Its not good, and even worse when you consider that Manning threw 10 consecutive incomplete passes at one point during Texas win over UTEP.

Does Texas football have a problem on their hands? Analyst Joel Klatt thinks so.

Arch Manning has played really poor so far this year, really poor, Klatt said on his show this week, per Sports Illustrated.

Theyve got quality wide receivers, theyve got quality backs, theyre good up front.

Now have they played their best around him? Probably not.

But, this is, to me, a more specific Arch issue with their offense.Klatt thinks Mannings poor play isnt a result of injury.

For young quarterbacks that dont have a ton of experience, the first thing you have to look for is is the speed of the game affecting their play, Klatt continued.

It looks like thats the case with Arch...

I do think that facing a defense as difficult to face as Ohio State in Week 1 did not do him a lot of good, but he is clearly not comfortable. The timing of the offense is held in the quarterbacks feet, Klatt added.

I personally believe, after watching Arch, he is too fast right now.

He is pressing and he is ahead of the offense...

he is ahead of the time of the offense.

When that happens, typically you lose your balance, you lose your pocket presence..

You lose your wide receivers.

When you do let go of the football, you are moving so fast in your own mind, you typically throw those balls short.WHAT THEYRE SAYING ABOUT THE LONGHORNS Austin American-Statesman: How new starter Connor Stroh can strengthen the Texas Longhorns offensive lineAustin American-Statesman: What issues does Texas QB Arch Manning have with his throwing motion?247Sports: In order to jumpstart Texas offense, Steve Sarkisian knows his team has to be better on third down247Sports: Inconsistent running game part of Texas offensive issues through the Longhorns first three games247Sports: Know Your Longhorn Foe: Previewing Texas contest against a rebuilding Sam Houston program247Sports: Hero Kanu has high expectations for Texas defense: I feel like the offense will never have enough to stop usInside Texas: Film Room: Joel Klatt has a point regarding Arch Manning, and the Texas-UTEP game tape shows itInside Texas: Cornerback Check In: new roles emerge for young DBs ahead of Sam HoustonInside Texas: ITYT Community Q&A: Benching Manning, dealing with O-Line and recruiting effectsInside Texas: Texas defense snap and stat trends through three weeksInside Texas: Texas Football: My glass is half somethingICYMI IN BURNT ORANGE NATION Why Texas QB Arch Manning struggled against UTEPWatch: Steve Sarkisian addresses the media ahead of Sam Houston StateRECRUITING ROUNDUP 247Sports: Previewing loaded official visit weekend for Texas mens basketball247Sports: Texas an early standout for North Crowley 2027 Top247 CB Jerry Outhouse Jr.247Sports: More contenders emerging for nations No.
