Celtics Superstar Has Cryptic Response to Leaving Boston

The Boston Celtics have not had the best of an offseason this summer.

The Celtics are not projected to be a stellar team this season, but at the forefront will be their superstar guard, Jaylen Brown.

Brown will enter this season as the clear-cut, number one option for the Celtics after they lost their star forward, Jayson Tatum, due to an Achilles injury.

Brown will be looked upon to lead the Celtics and possibly surprise some people this upcoming season.

The 28-year-old is set to be a Celtic for life; however, recent comments he made on the Big Tigger Morning Show with Jazzy McBee on V-103 FM sent fans into a frenzy.

Brown was asked about his future NBA plans and if there was any chance he'd suit up for his hometown team, the Atlanta Hawks.

Here's what Brown had to say.

"I would love to see you play for the hometown," radio host Darian Morgan noted.

"I feel you.

I think my grandma would too," Brown answered.

Morgan followed up by asking if Brown's grandmother had ever encouraged him to eventually suit up for the Hawks.

"Yeah, but you never know.

We'll see," Brown answered.

Jaylen Brown is Viewed as a Cornerstone in Boston The Celtics view Brown in high regard, and they showed that to be the case when they drafted him No.

3 overall in the 2016 NBA Draft out of California.

The four-time All-Star has established himself as a star player in the league and a pillar of the franchise and community in Boston.

Losing him in the future, if they do, would be catastrophic for the franchise that is the Celtics.

It appears that won't be the case, at least from the contract that Brown is under with Boston.

In the summer of 2023, the Celtics and Brown agreed to a five-year, $286.2 million contract, which makes him a Celtic through the 2028-29 season.

The contract kicked in last season, earning $49.4 million.

This season, the Celtics will owe Brown $53.3 million.

They hope that Brown will be worth the money, and so far, he's been worth it.

As things stand, there's a small chance Brown finishes his career anywhere other than Boston.
