Three Seahawks rookies who could immediately impact the offense

The Seattle Seahawks believe they are one year ahead of schedule, competing not only for a playoff spot but also for the NFC West title.

Even the young players in the locker room feel they can be one of the top teams in the division.

Some of these rookies have a chance to showcase their potential on Sunday when the Seahawks host the San Francisco 49ers , especially on the defensive side of the ball.

Left guard Grey Zabel It shouldnt be a surprise to see the first-round selection seen as one of the top offensive linemen this season.

There was, however, much doubt about Zabel's impact during the offseason.

For those who havent seen his performance in the 2025 Senior Bowl or throughout the preseason, Zabel was one of the efficient and toughest young linemen for the Seahawks.

In the first games played, Zabel was given an overall grade of 86.2 by PF F, with no pressures allowed.

He was the third-highest graded rookie of all first-round rookies by PFF , only behind Indianapolis tight end Tyler Warren and New England offensive tackle Will Campbell.

Zabel will get his biggest test yet as a rookie in his first-ever start at the professional level.

He will play against a 49ers defense that has a recent history of developing stout defensive linemen.

How well Zabel can maintain his composure and toughness will determine how well the Seahawks offense plays.

Wide receiver Tory Horton Among the Seattle rookies that made the most noise this preseason is the fifth-round draft pick from Colorado State.

Horton looked athletic and nimble this preseason, much like he did before suffering a knee injury this past college football season.

With the 49ers secondary likely focusing on dynamic receivers like Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Cooper Kupp, it opens more opportunities for Horton.

It wouldnt be a surprise to see him make a big play in the return game first and then make several surprising catches afterwards.

Fullback Robbie Ouzts Fans of old-school football are going to love the Seahawks' new offense.

The reintroduction of the fullback could easily be big for Seattle's rushing offense.

Ouzts has already shown himself to be a tough, smart, and disciplined player against veterans during preseason games.

This is the run that Mike Macdonald referenced with Robbie Ouzts.

Regardless, he is going to be that extra powerful blocker coming from the backfield to potentially help solidify the run game for either Kenneth Walker III or Zach Charbonnet.

Ouzts might also be a surprise pass-catcher for the Seahawks, much like he was for the Alabama Crimson Tide..
