West Virginia transfer cornerback T.J.

Crandall will have to wait a little bit longer to make his Oregon State debut.

On Tuesday evening, Crandall announced on X that he had suffered a broken foot in the first week of fall camp, which will keep him out for the majority of the 2025 season.

For those who werent aware, I suffered a broken foot during the first week of camp that will sideline me for the majority of the season, Crandall said.

Although the injury is disappointing, I am excited to get the opportunity to cheer on my teammates and watch us win games. Before his injury, Crandall was expected to have a notable role within the Beavers cornerback room.

Now with Crandall, the Beavers will look towards sophomore Exodus Ayers and junior Jalil Tucker to be the starting corners while Sailasa Vadrawale, Sean Craig, Trey Glasper, and David Madison all provide depth.

Crandalls injury does significantly hit the Beavers depth at the position, as Craig, Glasper, and Madison are all true freshmen this fall.Last season, Crandall played in 11 games for West Virginia, recording nine tackles.

He also played in 10 games at Colorado State in 2023, making five starts as a true freshman.

The Sammamish, Washington native and former Skyline High School (WA) standout transferred to Oregon State this offseason after his lone season at West Virginia.

The injury marks a second straight day of an injury to an expected key contributor.

On Monday, Beavers wide receiver Darrius Clemons announced that he suffered an Achilles tendon injury and will miss the entire season.

The Beavers are set to start their 2025 season on Saturday evening by hosting the ACCs California Golden Bears.
