The FedEx Cup Fall moves to its third event for the inaugural Black Desert Championship, which begins on Thursday, October 10.

This is the first time since 1963 that a PGA Tour event is being held in Utah.

Set in a lava field, the Black Desert resort will host the tournament where the winner will pocket a prize of $1.35 million.

Mike Weir, an eight-time PGA Tour winner and 2003 Masters champion, is one of the leading lights in the 132-player field.

Also competing are six-time PGA Tour and 2009 US Open champion Lucas Glover and five-time PGA Tour winners JB Holmes and Ryan Moore, among other star players.

The FedEx Cup Fall is meant for players to work their way into the top 125 in order to earn PGA Tour status for the next season.
