Fantasy Football Big Board: Complete 2024 PPR Player Rankings Entering Week 6

We've made it five weeks into the 2024 NFL season, and what a ride it has been.

For some fantasy managers, things are going according to plan.

Fantasy managers who spent an early draft pick on players like Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley or Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase have mostly gotten their money's worth.

They are at least 3-2if not 4-1 or even 5-0.

Smiles all around.

However, things haven't gone so smoothly for others.

Injuries have blasted holes in lineups.

Players haven't met expectations.

At this point, you're either above .500 or below it.

And if you're 2-3 or 1-4, it can be getting late early.

Take too many more losses, and by Halloween you could be in a scary place indeed.

No matter your situation, every fantasy manager is in the same boat right now, though.

We all enter Week 6 looking for a win, whether it's to stem the tide of a losing streak or to keep the wins coming.

Bleacher Report is here to help get fantasy managers that victory, by offering up position-by-position PPR rankings and a look at the top 100 players overall for Week 6.

For most of the first month of the season, much was made of the lack of big passing stat lines from NFL quarterbacks.

Some blamed a lack of playing time.

Others blamed defenses that have switched to more two-high safety looks.

Whatever the reason, 300-yard passing games were rare.

Carolina's Andy Dalton was the first signal-caller to throw for 300 yards and three scores...in Week 3.

In Week 5, the lid came offin a big way.

In Cincinnati, Joe Burrow of the Bengals lit up the Baltimore Ravens to the tune of 392 passing yards and five scores.

Lamar Jackson of the Ravens threw for 348 yards and four scores of his own.

Kirk Cousins of the Atlanta Falcons led the week off with a career-best 509 passing yards and four touchdowns.

In what may well be his last start for a while, Joe Flacco of the Indianapolis Colts passed for 359 yards and three scores.

It was quite the passapalooza, and hopefully a sign of big numbers that will keep coming as we move farther into the season.

GOOD MATCHUPS Derek Carr, New Orleans Saints (vs.

TB) [ DraftKings DFS Value: $5,900 ] After a hot start to the season, Carr has cooled off somewhat.

But the Buccaneers offer Carr an excellent shot at getting back on the ol' fantasy track.

It was the Tampa pass defense that just gave up that 500-yard effort to Kirk Cousins and the Falcons, and no NFC team has given up more fantasy points per game to quarterbacks so far this year.

Caleb Williams, Chicago Bears (vs.

JAX) [DraftKings DFS Value: $5,700] Williams wasn't as quick a study as Jayden Daniels, but he appears to be putting it togetherthe first overall pick in April's draft topped 300 passing yards with a pair of touchdowns in last week's win over the Carolina Panthers.

London games make me a little nervous, but no team in the league has allowed more fantasy points per game to quarterbacks this year than the Jaguars.

BAD MATCHUPS Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills (at New York Jets) [DraftKings DFS Value: $7,500] After last week's 9-for-30 clunker of a fantasy performance against the Houston Texans, Allen has fallen outside the top five fantasy quarterbacks in terms of points per game .

And before you write off last week's game as a one-off ahead of a bad matchup with the Jets, consider thisAllen has had fewer than 15 fantasy points in three of five games this year.

Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville Jaguars (at CHI) [DraftKings DFS Value: $5,600] Lawrence is coming off easily his best performance of the 2024 season371 passing yards and two scores in the Jaguars' first win of the season over the Indianapolis Colts.

But that big game is likely a one-and-done scenariothe Chicago Bears just completely shut down the Carolina offense and rank at the bottom of the NFL in fantasy points per game given up to quarterbacks.

SLEEPER Will Levis, Tennessee Titans (vs.

IND) [DraftKings DFS Amount: $4,800] This assumes that Levis will return in Week 6 from an AC joint sprain, but indications are that he will practice later this week .

The idea of starting Levis on purpose in fantasy leagues isn't an easy pill to swallow, but he does draw a favorable fantasy matchupthe Colts rank toward the top of the league in fantasy points surrendered to signal-callers in 2024.

PIT) The top of the fantasy leaderboard at running back in Week 5 featured a couple of surprise stars.

In Jacksonville, second-year running back Tank Bigsby lived up to his nameand in doing so may have shaken up the Jaguars' depth chart at the position.

Bigsby piled up 101 yards and a pair of touchdowns on just 13 carries, blasting holes in Indy's defense all game long.

Meanwhile, with Devin Singletary on the shelf for the New York Giants, rookie Tyrone Tracy Jr.

drew the first start of his professional career and made the most of it with 129 yards on 18 carries in New York's 29-20 win.

Now, Travis Etienne Jr.

will still figure in Jacksonville's offensethe two split Jacksonville's 45 snaps right down the middle.

The return of Singletary could similarly muddy the backfield for Big Blue.

But given how the youngsters played, it's not a stretch to think their respective teams would want to keep them involved in the offense.

GOOD MATCHUPS Breece Hall, New York Jets (vs.

BUF) [DraftKings DFS Value: $6,800] Like the Jets offense as a whole, Hall disappointed fantasy managers in Week 5 with 12 total touches for 37 scoreless yards.

Week 6 sets up well as a "get right" gamethe Bills are allowing over 140 rushing yards per game and have given up more PPR points per game to running backs than any team in the league.

Tony Pollard, Tennessee Titans (vs.

IND) [DraftKings DFS Value: $6,000] Pollard has been OK in his first season with the Titans246 rushing yards and two scores over his first four games with the team.

The Colts have been an absolute sieve against the run this year.

The team just gave up that big game to Tank Bigsby and has allowed a whopping 157 yards a game on the ground, which is tops in the AFC.

BAD MATCHUPS Rico Dowdle, Dallas Cowboys (vs.

DET) [DraftKings DFS Value: $5,900] Dowdle is coming off the best game of his professional career22 touches, 114 total yards and a receiving touchdown against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Don't expect a second straight strong outing, though, as the Lions are surrendering just 90.8 yards per game on the ground and sit at the bottom of the NFC in PPR points per game allowed to running backs.

Brian Robinson Jr., Washington Commanders (at BAL) [DraftKings DFS Value: $6,400] Robinson is nicked up and saw a season-low last week in carries (seven) and rushing yards (18), although two touchdowns saved his fantasy bacon.

There will be no bacon-saving this week against the Ravens, as Baltimore is giving up a league-low 60.4 yards per game on the ground and just 3.1 yards per carry.

SLEEPER Tyler Allgeier, Atlanta Falcons (at CAR) [DraftKings DFS Value: $5,100] Much to the chagrin of fantasy managers, Allgeier continues to play a significant role in the Falcons offensequite possibly because he's averaging 5.4 yards per carry on the season.

The Panthers have struggled against the run, giving up over 145 yards per game.

If the Falcons get up big, Allgeier could see quite a few carries in garbage time.

TB) There is no shortage of intriguing matchups in Week 6 between cornerbacks and wide receivers.

But perhaps the most interesting of them all will take place in the Big Easy.

It's not just that Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans and New Orleans Saints cornerback Marshon Lattimore are two of the very best in the league at what they do.

It's that the two of them genuinely do not like one another even a little bit.

This is less a rivalry than a feudand it has been going on for years.

There was a dust-up in 2017 that drew Evans an unnecessary roughness flag.

Another in 2020 when Evans knocked Lattimore's helmet off.

Another go-round in 2022 that ended with Evans being suspended for a game.

Evans and Lattimore, from all indications, just can't stand one another.

From a football perspective, however, it has been Lattimore who has won the rivalryin their last seven meetings, Evans has averaged just 2.6 receptions, 45.4 receiving yards and scored just twice.

Evans gets a downgrade in Week 6.

GOOD MATCHUPS Terry McLaurin, Washington Commanders (at BAL) [DraftKings DFS Value: $6,400] McLaurin has been on a roll of latehe has hit 100 receiving yards and/or found the end zone in three straight games.

A fourth is likely coming this week in a game where the Commanders will have to throw to win.

No team is harder to run on in 2024 than the Ravens, but few teams are easier to have success against through the air.

Moore, Chicago Bears (vs.

JAX) [DraftKings DFS Value: $6,700] Moore has (unsurprisingly) emerged as Caleb Williams' go-to target in the Bears' passing game, turning eight targets last week into five receptions for 105 yards and two touchdowns.

The Jaguars have had all kinds of problems defending wide receivers this seasonno team has given up more PPR points per game to the position this year.

BAD MATCHUPS Michael Pittman Jr., Indianapolis Colts (at TEN) [DraftKings DFS Value: $6,300] Pittman's two best games of the season have come over the last two weeks11 receptions for 150 yards and a touchdown.

But that success came with Joe Flacco under center, and it appears that Anthony Richardson will be back under center this week in Nashville.

That's not good news for Pittman's fantasy prospects moving forward.

Garrett Wilson, New York Jets (vs.

BUF) [DraftKings DFS Value: $7,100] Wilson is coming off a huge game in London in which he had 13 catches for 101 yards and a touchdown on a jaw-dropping 22 targets.

But the Jets really don't want Aaron Rodgers dropping back over 50 times a game, and the Bills are an easier team to run on than throw against this seasonBuffalo's pass defense is allowing just under 25 PPR points per game to wideouts this season.

SLEEPER Jalen Tolbert, Dallas Cowboys (vs.

DET) [DraftKings DFS Value: $5,000] Tolbert did well for fantasy managers last week against the Pittsburgh Steelers, catching seven passes for 87 yards and a touchdown with Brandin Cooks on the shelf.

He could make it two weeks in a row this week against the Lions.

Detroit can be had through the air, and this is a contest with more than a little shootout potential.

Michael Wilson, ARI (at GB) The good news for fantasy managers with shares of Mark Andrews of the Baltimore Ravens is that the veteran had his best game of the 2024 season Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals.

The bad news is that Andrews' "best game" this year was four catches for 55 yardsand that came after back-to-back games without a single catch.

There has been no shortage of hand-wringing in fantasy circles this year about Andrews.

But Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson told reporters that the 29-year-old remains a big part of the Ravens offense.

"Sometimes you might not get the ball, but we've got all these great guys on our offense that's helping us win games, including Mark," Jackson said.

"Mark is playing a huge role for us just doing what he's doingblocking, running routes, running guys out, and finding other guys to be open.

He's just being a team player right now." The problem is that fantasy points aren't awarded for being a "team player." Andrews has 14 targets total in five games this season.

He has been supplanted by Isaiah Likely as the No.

1 tight end in Baltimore.

Andrews had a great run in fantasy, including a TE1 finish in 2021.

But it's over.

GOOD MATCHUPS Trey McBride, Arizona Cardinals (at GB) [DraftKings DFS Value: $5,700] McBride's aversion to touchdowns has lingered into 2024he has yet to find the end zone this season.

But the third-year veteran has at least six targets in every game this season, he has hit double-digit PPR points twice, and the Green Bay Packers have been fairly generous to opposing tight ends this season.

Kyle Pitts, Atlanta Falcons (at CAR) [DraftKings DFS Value: $4,400] Pitts was actually a significant part of the Falcons offense in their overtime win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, setting season-highs in targets (eight), receptions (seven) and receiving yards (88).

Asking for two solid weeks in a row from Pitts may be pushing it, but the Panthers have been a favorable fantasy matchup for the position this season.

BAD MATCHUPS Jake Ferguson, Dallas Cowboys (vs.

DET) [DraftKings DFS Value: $5,000] Ferguson has been solid for fantasy managers this seasonhe's had at least seven targets, six catches and double-digit PPR points in each of the past three games he's played in.

However, while Detroit has struggled somewhat against the pass this year, it hasn't benefitted tight endsthe Lions are a bottom-10 fantasy matchup for the position.

Dallas Goedert, Philadelphia Eagles (vs.

CLE) [DraftKings DFS Value: $5,200] The Cleveland Browns are a disaster, but the team has actually done a good job defending tight ends, allowing the sixth-fewest PPR points to the position this year.

Add in the likely return of A.J.

Brown and DeVonta Smith and the targets that will cost Goedert, and his first game back from the bye could be a downer.

SLEEPER Zach Ertz, Washington Commanders (at BAL) [DraftKings DFS Value: $3,700] Ertz hasn't done a lot statistically this year, with just one game in five with double-digit PPR points.

But the veteran saw eight targets in last week's win over the Cleveland Browns, and if the Commanders are going to keep their surprising winning streak going, attacking Baltimore's 31st-ranked pass defense is a must.

CIN) Raise your hand if you thought that five weeks into the 2024 season the Minnesota Vikings would be the highest-scoring fantasy defense.

Now put your hand down.

Seriously.

How do you live with yourself? The Vikings aren't racking up fantasy points by playing high-end defense, at least in terms of yards allowed.

The team ranks in the middle of the pack in yards allowed.

Minnesota is actually a bottom-five pass defense.

However, Minnesota isn't giving up pointsjust 15.2 per game.

Despite losing their top-two edge-rushers in free agency, the Vikings are second in the league in sacks with 20.

Only the Green Bay Packers have more takeaways than Minnesota's 19.

And Sunday in London, Andrew Van Ginkel logged his second pick-six of the season.

Van Ginkel is an edge-rusher, by the way.

One more fun fact about the Vikings fantasy managers should be aware of this week? Minnesota is on bye, so none of that does us any good.

Was that mean? It felt a little mean.

GOOD MATCHUPS Chris Boswell, Pittsburgh Steelers (at LV) Boswell has been a solid fantasy option this season, hitting on 12 of 13 field goal attempts and all eight point-after tries.

He draws a favorable matchup with the Raiders in Week 5, and Pittsburgh's offense has been good enough to move the ball but not so good that they punch it in the end zone every drive.

Pittsburgh Steelers Defense (at LV) [DraftKings DFS Value: $3,700] The Steelers have been a lower-end top-10 fantasy defense so far this season.

Only two teams so far this year have surrendered more fantasy points per game to defenses in 2024 than the Raiders, the team could be making a quarterback change to Aidan O'Connell and the Steelers have some guy named T.J.

Watt.

Allegedly he's pretty good at rushing the passer.

BAD MATCHUPS Matt Prater, Arizona Cardinals (at GB) Prater hasn't had many chances to post points this seasonjust six field goal attempts in five games.

Not only have the Cardinals not offered Prater many field goal chances this season, but the Packers have allowed less than five fantasy points per game to kickers so far this season.

The veteran is best left on benches this week.

Baltimore Ravens Defense (vs.

WAS) [DraftKings DFS Value: $3,000] The Ravens have been an up-and-down defensive team this yearimpossible to run on, but porous on the back end.

That doesn't bode especially well against a Commanders offense that has been as explosive as any in the NFL in recent weeks.

Someone apparently forgot to tell Jayden Daniels that rookie quarterbacks aren't supposed to be this good.

SLEEPER Indianapolis Colts Defense (at TEN) [DraftKings DFS Value: $3,100] This is a matchup where something has to give.

The Colts have struggled mightily on defense this year, holding the distinction as the only team allowing over 400 yards per contest on average.

But the Tennessee Titans are also 30th in the NFL in total offense and have allowed more fantasy points per game to defenses than any team in the league.
