Yankees’ ALDS Game 3 lineup revealed

Its almost time for Game 3 of the ALDS matchup between the Yankees and the Royals, and the series has a lot of tension now shifting over to Kansas City.
For New York, theyve put themselves in the position of needing to win a game on the road to keep their season alive, with the unknown part of their rotation coming up to play in tonights game.
They did, however, play to a league-best 50-31 record on the road this year, so perhaps theyve got more fight in them than some of the other top seeds around the playoffs currently facing 2-1 deficits.
For Kansas City, this is a golden opportunity.
Theyre back hosting a playoff game for the first time since Game 2 of the 2015 World Series , and smell the potential for another chaotic upset to push through in a wide-open postseason bracket.
Theyve got Seth Lugo looming on the mound looking to give them that advantage after pushing through 4.1 innings in the Wild Card Series against the Orioles, and this is the lineup thats going to face off with him: 2B Gleyber Torres RF Juan Soto CF Aaron Judge C Austin Wells DH Giancarlo Stanton 3B Jazz Chisholm Jr.
SS Anthony Volpe 1B Oswaldo Cabrera LF Alex Verdugo This is the same exact lineup that manager Aaron Boone ran out for Game 1 against another right-hander in Michael Wacha, so were seeing that the platoon is firmly established between Oswaldo Cabrera and Jon Berti at first base currently.
They managed to do damage in that game, but they also benefitted from working a large amount of walks from Wacha and the Royals bullpen.
They may not get as lucky in that department against Lugo, who issued just a single free pass to Baltimore and typically is a little more on top of the strike zone with a 2.09 BB/9 compared to Wachas 2.43 mark.
The Yankees easiest path to a 2-1 series lead, however, remains in the hands of their superstars at the top of the order.
Will the Yankees see success going back to their Game 1 lineup for this critical matchup? Will Aaron Judge finally break out and apply some pressure to the Royals pitching staff? Tune in tonight to find out..
