The Ohio State Athletic Department announced yet another neutral-site non-conference matchup for the Buckeye basketball team today.

Recently, it was revealed that OSU would face the Virginia Cavaliers in the Nashville Hoops Showdown in February.

Fans will now have another venue outside of Columbus to see Jake Diebler's squad play as the team will travel north on I-71 to face the West Virginia Mountaineers as part of the Cleveland Hoops Showdown.

The game will be played in Rocket Arena, home of the Cleveland Cavaliers, on December 13.

This will be the 19th time the two teams have faced each other, with Ohio State holding the upper hand, having won 10 games to the Mountaineers' eight.

It will be the third time that the two teams travel to Cleveland, with the Buckeyes winning the most recent contest in an overtime thriller by a score of 78-75 in December of 2023.

West Virginia had an overall record of 19-13 and a conference record of 10-10 playing in the Big 12 in the 2024-25 season.
