In 2022, Johnson won his first and, to date, only Stanley Cup with the Colorado Avalanche .

In 1,228 career games Johnson has scored 77 goals and has added 265 assists.

Wild Injury Concerns Result in PTO The Wild are heading into training camp with some uncertainty in their defensive core.

Jonas Brodin is likely to miss the beginning of the season with an upper-body injury.

In a perfect world for the Wild, young defenceman Zeev Buium or David Jiricek will take Brodins place.

However, should it be determined in training camp and the preseason that they need more time in the American Hockey League, Johnson could be an option to fill in.

Last Ride, Perhaps? If Johnson does not make the Wild, one has to wonder if he will decide to hang up the skates.

Even if the Wild choose to not sign Johnson to a NHL contract, he will likely wait to see if another team is interested before he officially calls it a career.

If Johnson does make the team, he will bring leadership and playoff experience to a team looking to make noise in the Western Conference..
