But, those headlines will soon circle back to football as Colorado will host Georgia Tech to kick off the 2025-26 season .

Colorado had a solid 2024 campaign, coming in fourth place in the Big 12.

It was a close race between four schools at the end.

The Buffaloes were ranked No.

23 in the College Football Playoff rankings, before losing to fellow Big 12 school BYU in the Alamo Bowl.

Georgia Tech also lost their bowl game, to Vanderbilt, after coming in sixth place in the ACC.

The Yellow Jackets will travel to Boulder to face Colorado to start the season.
