Welcome to Bleacher Report's top 25 college football quarterback rankings.

These rankings will be a weekly feature published each Tuesday morning throughout the 2024 season, with the goal of identifying the 25 best QBs in the country each week as the season unfolds.

The only thing that matters here is on-field production in 2024.

That means past performance, future expectations, physical tools and NFL upside have all been removed from the equation.

Each quarterback's individual production and quality of opponent will be considered each week, and players will rise and fall based on where they ranked the previous week, so it will be a fluid process.

If your favorite team's quarterback is not currently on the list, fear not.

If a guy is putting up numbers, he will find his way onto the list.

On the flip side, a strong first half of the season will only go so far if a player falls flat in Week 7 and fails to continue his early success.

These 25 quarterbacks were also under consideration for a spot in the rankings but ultimately settled for an honorable mention following Week 6 action: Alonza Barnett III, James Madison Rocco Becht, Iowa State Emmett Brown, San Jose State Thomas Castellanos, Boston College Kyron Drones, Virginia Tech Tucker Gleason, Toledo Nico Iamaleava, Tennessee Avery Johnson, Kansas State Haynes King, Georgia Tech Sam Leavitt, Arizona State Riley Leonard, Notre Dame Brendon Lewis, Nevada Gio Lopez, South Alabama Maddux Madsen, Boise State Jordan McCloud, Texas State Darian Mensah, Tulane Behren Morton, Texas Tech Miller Moss, USC Maalik Murphy, Duke Dylan Raiola, Nebraska Jake Retzlaff, BYU Kaidon Salter, Liberty Ethan Vasko, Coastal Carolina Hayden Wolff, Western Michigan Ben Wooldridge, Louisiana Injured, Removed from Rankings Quinn Ewers, Texas Cameron Rising, Utah Blake Shapen, Mississippi State Evan Simon, Temple 25.

Arch Manning, Texas (Previous Rank: 21) Stats: 55-of-78, 901 yards, 9 TD, 2 INT; 82 rush yards, 3 TD After starts against UTSA, Louisiana-Monroe and Mississippi State, Manning will likely return to his backup role coming out of a Week 6 bye now that Quinn Ewers is trending toward being healthy for the Longhorns' Week 7 matchup against Oklahoma.

For now, he holds onto the No.

25 spot thanks to the glimpse he has given into a bright future.

24.

Bryson Daily, Army (Previous Rank: HM) Stats: 17-of-30, 380 yards, 5 TD, 0 INT; 602 rush yards, 10 TD Daily is averaging 120.4 rushing yards per game as one of the best option quarterbacks in the country while leading Army to a 5-0 start.

He had 110 rushing yards and two touchdowns on the ground while also adding a season-high 140 passing yards and two scores on a perfect 5-of-5 passing day in a 49-7 rout of Tulsa on Saturday.

23.

Diego Pavia, Vanderbilt (Previous Rank: HM) Stats: 70-of-105, 973 yards, 8 TD, 0 INT; 335 rush yards, 2 TD Pavia now has upset wins over Virginia Tech and Alabama on his resume this season after completing 16-of-20 passes for 252 yards and two touchdowns in Saturday's 40-35 win over the Crimson Tide.

The New Mexico State transfer has become a much more effective passer this season after relying heavily on his scrambling ability a year ago.

22.

Carson Beck, Georgia (Previous Rank: 25) Stats: 106-of-161, 1,359 yards, 12 TD, 3 INT; 49 rush yards Beck tumbled down the rankings last week following a three-interception game in Georgia's loss to Alabama, but he rebounded nicely in a home win over Auburn, completing 23-of-29 pass attempts for 240 yards and two touchdowns in a 31-13 victory.

The Bulldogs need to be careful not to overlook Mississippi State this week with a road matchup against Texas looming on Oct.

19.

21.

Luke Altmyer, Illinois (Previous Rank: 16) Stats: 91-of-130, 1,047 yards, 11 TD, 1 INT; 30 rush yards A ranked Fighting Illini squad was on a bye in Week 6, leaving Altmyer to be overtaken by several quarterbacks who put up solid numbers over the weekend.

In his second year under center at Illinois, he has raised his completion percentage (64.8 to 70.0 percent) and yards per attempt (7.0 to 8.1) while also doing a much better job protecting the football following a 10-interception season a year ago.

20.

Josh Hoover, TCU (Previous Rank: 17) Stats: 162-of-236, 2,007 yards, 16 TD, 6 INT; -20 rush yards, 2 TD Hoover has thrown two interceptions in three straight games, and TCU went 1-2 during that stretch with losses to SMU and Houston.

He completed 23-of-37 passes for 233 yards with two touchdowns and two picks on Saturday in a 30-19 loss to a Houston team that entered the week with a 1-4 record.

19.

Chandler Morris, North Texas (Previous Rank: 20) Stats: 123-of-188, 1,643 yards, 16 TD, 6 INT; 46 rush yards, 2 TD Morris rebounded from back-to-back three-interception games earlier this season to pile up a combined 744 passing yards and seven touchdowns in victories over Wyoming and Tulsa in Week 4 and Week 5.

The 4-1 Mean Green will be back in action this weekend against Florida Atlantic following a Week 6 bye.

18.

Tyler Shough, Louisville (Previous Rank: 19) Stats: 98-of-152, 1,443 yards, 13 TD, 2 INT; 25 rush yards After a 3-0 start, Louisville suffered back-to-back losses to Notre Dame and SMU, though Shough put up solid individual numbers in both games.

He completed 22-of-35 passes for 329 yards and two touchdowns in Saturday's 34-27 loss to the Mustangs, though he also threw his second pick of the year.

17.

Brendan Sorsby, Cincinnati (Previous Rank: 18) Stats: 108-of-163, 1,481 yards, 12 TD, 1 INT; 66 rush yards, 3 TD After throwing for 1,587 yards and 15 touchdowns in 10 games at the University of Indiana last year, Sorsby has nearly matched that production through his first five games under center at Cincinnati.

The Bearcats were on a bye in Week 6 but will return to action with four straight unranked teams in UCF, Arizona State, Colorado and West Virginia.

16.

Billy Edwards Jr., Maryland ( Previous Rank: 13) Stats: 128-of-177, 1,444 yards, 11 TD, 2 INT; 36 rush yards, 2 TD The backup to Taulia Tagovailoa in 2022 and 2023, Edwards entered the season with just 76 career pass attempts, but he has made a smooth transition into the starting role for the Terrapins.

He has thrown multiple touchdown passes in each of his first five games this season, and after a Week 6 bye, he will look to keep it rolling against Northwestern on Friday.

15.

Kyle McCord, Syracuse (Previous Rank: HM) Stats: 154-of-240, 1,814 yards, 17 TD, 6 INT; 6 rush yards, 1 TD After throwing multiple interceptions against Stanford and Holy Cross in Week 4 and Week 5, McCord completed 40-of-63 passes for 355 yards and three touchdowns in a big win over UNLV on Saturday.

The Ohio State transfer leads the nation in pass attempts (240), and that has helped him also rank among the leaders in passing yards (1,814, fourth) and passing touchdowns (17, second).

14.

Blake Horvath, Navy (Previous Rank: 14) Stats: 39-of-59, 771 yards, 7 TD, 1 INT; 565 rush yards, 10 TD Horvath recorded his third 100-yard rushing game of the season on Saturday, carrying 19 times for 115 yards and two touchdowns.

He also continues to keep defenses honest through the air, completing 9-of-15 attempts for 134 yards in a 34-7 victory over Air Force, and Navy is now 5-0 and on the doorstep of the Top 25 poll.

13.

Drew Allar, Penn State (Previous Rank: 11) Stats: 73-of-103, 1,101 yards, 9 TD, 1 INT; 89 rush yards, 3 TD Allar completed 17-of-24 passes for 237 yards and one touchdown in Saturday's win over UCLA, adding another score on the ground.

His yards per attempt have spiked from 6.8 to 10.7 this year, and the Nittany Lions have deployed a more well-balanced offensive attack as a result during their 5-0 start.

12.

Will Howard, Ohio State (Previous Rank: 24) Stats: 93-of-130, 1,248 yards, 12 TD, 3 INT; 64 rush yards, 4 TD Howard had his best game in a Buckeyes uniform on Saturday, completing 21-of-25 pass attempts for 209 yards and four touchdowns while also adding a fifth score on the ground, lighting up the Iowa defense in a 35-7 win.

A head-to-head clash with Dillon Gabriel and Oregon awaits on Saturday in a game with huge College Football Playoff implications.

11.

Will Rogers, Washington (Previous Rank: 10) Stats: 131-of-178, 1,625 yards, 12 TD, 1 INT; -31 rush yards With 271 passing yards and two touchdowns, Rogers led the Huskies to a huge 27-17 win over Michigan on Saturday.

His 73.6 percent completion rate checks in fifth among qualified FBS quarterbacks, and his 131 completions are tops in the Big Ten, as he has done a solid job filling the big shoes left behind by Michael Penix Jr.

10.

John Mateer, Washington State (Previous Rank: 9) Stats: 89-of-153, 1,429 yards, 13 TD, 5 INT; 453 rush yards, 5 TD Mateer led Washington State to a 4-0 start that included wins over Texas Tech and Washington before a Week 5 loss to Boise State, and his impressive dual-threat production has made him a staple in the top 10 in these rankings.

After a Week 6 bye, Fresno State awaits this weekend.

9.

Dillon Gabriel, Oregon (Previous Rank: 4) Stats: 130-of-167, 1,449 yards, 11 TD, 3 INT; 71 rush yards, 3 TD Efficiency more than gaudy production earned Gabriel a top-five slot in these rankings, and he slid a few spots after completing just 20-of-32 passes with two touchdowns and two interceptions against Michigan State on Saturday.

He still leads all FBS quarterbacks in completion percentage, and he will jump back up with a strong showing against No.

2 Ohio State.

8.

Cade Klubnik, Clemson (Previous Rank: 8) Stats: 92-of-143, 1,219 yards, 14 TD, 2 INT; 168 rush yards, 4 TD The Clemson offense is averaging 39.4 points per game, and since a shaky performance in a Week 1 loss to Georgia, Klubnik has been one of the best quarterbacks in the country.

He threw for 235 yards and two touchdowns in a win over Florida State last weekend, and he also added 62 yards on 11 carries in the running game.

7.

Shedeur Sanders, Colorado (Previous Rank: 6) Stats: 138-of-197, 1,630 yards, 14 TD, 3 INT; 25 rush yards, 1 TD Sanders is one of nine FBS quarterbacks averaging at least 300 yards passing per game this season, and after a rocky start to the year that included a lopsided loss to Nebraska, he is once again playing like an elite-level quarterback.

The Buffaloes are back in action on Saturday against No.

18 Kansas State following a bye week last weekend.

6.

Garrett Nussmeier, LSU (Previous Rank: 5) Stats: 138-of-198, 1,652 yards, 15 TD, 4 INT; -5 rush yards, 2 TD Another early standout who was on a bye in Week 6, Nussmeier piled up 409 passing yards in Week 5 against South Alabama, and even after not adding to his stat line this past weekend, he still leads the SEC in completions (138) and passing touchdowns (15).

A showdown with Jaxson Dart and Ole Miss awaits on Saturday.

Previous Rank: 3 Stats: 127-of-173, 2,100 yards, 13 TD, 2 INT; 156 rush yards, 3 TD During a 4-0 start to the year that saw Ole Miss peak at No.

5 in the AP poll, Jaxson Dart looked like a bona fide Heisman Trophy contender.

However, after a loss to Kentucky (18-for-27, 261 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT) and a lackluster showing against South Carolina (14-for-27, 285 yards, 0 TD, 0 INT), his stock is trending down heading into Week 7.

He still leads the nation with 12.1 yards per pass attempt, and his 2,100 passing yards trail only Cam Ward's (2,219) among FBS quarterbacks.

A big road matchup against LSU is on deck for this weekend, followed by a bye week and then another tough matchup against Oklahoma.

Previous Rank: 7 Stats: 113-of-172, 1,567 yards, 15 TD, 3 INT; 265 rush yards, 3 TD Another surprise upstart who changed teams in the transfer portal during the offseason, Eli Holstein did not see the field last year at Alabama, but he has quickly made waves as a redshirt freshman at Pittsburgh.

The Panthers are off to a 5-0 start following a 34-24 victory on the road against North Carolina on Saturday, and they jumped up to No.

22 in the latest AP poll.

Holstein threw for 381 yards and three touchdowns while adding another 76 yards and a touchdown on the ground in the win, and a home game against California is up next on the schedule this weekend.

Previous Rank: 12 Stats: 118-of-160, 1,752 yards, 14 TD, 2 INT; 44 rush yards, 2 TD After a terrific run at Ohio University, including a 3,257-yard, 25-touchdown season in 2022, Kurtis Rourke has been one of the nation's most impactful transfers in his first year under center at Indiana.

He completed 25-of-33 pass attempts for 380 yards and three touchdowns in a road win over Northwestern on Saturday, and that was his third game already this season with at least 300 yards and three touchdowns.

The Hoosiers are 6-0 for the first time since 1967, and Rourke leads the Big Ten in passing yards (1,752), passing touchdowns (14) and yards per attempt (11.0).

Previous Rank: 2 Stats: 80-of-109, 1,274 yards, 11 TD, 2 INT; 283 rush yards, 9 TD Despite the surprise loss to Vanderbilt on Saturday, quarterback Jalen Milroe still had a productive individual performance leading the way for the Alabama offense.

The dual-threat standout completed 18-of-24 pass attempts for 310 yards and a touchdown, and while he did throw his second interception of the year, he also added his ninth rushing touchdown of the season.

The Crimson Tide should have a chance to regroup against South Carolina this weekend, but then they have to get through No.

8 Tennessee, No.

21 Missouri and No.

13 LSU in their next three games.

Previous Rank: 1 Stats: 148-of-214, 2,219 yards, 20 TD, 5 INT; 161 rush yards, 3 TD Cam Ward further separated himself from the pack during Week 6, throwing for 437 yards and two touchdowns in a win over California during a week where fellow top-tier quarterbacks Jalen Milroe and Jaxson Dart were not at their best.

The Hurricanes have tight-roped their way to victory the last two weeks, but they remain undefeated and do not face another ranked opponent the rest of the way now that Louisville has dropped out of the Top 25.

The path is clear for them to be part of this year's College Football Playoff field, and Ward looks like the front-runner for Heisman Trophy honors midway through the season..
