Steph Curry has spoken out about the Golden State Warriors roster after what has been a summer of uncertainty for the team.

The Jonathan Kuminga saga is not expected to end anytime soon as the 22-year-old is hesitant to accept any deal that does not have a player option in the final year.

Due to the impasse in talks with Kuminga, the Golden State Warriors have failed to make any other moves in free agency despite having made initial contact with the likes of Al Horford, DeAnthony Melton and Gary Payton II.

There are also talks of Seth Curry potentially joining his brother , but all of that will only happen after the Kuminga deal is confirmed.

While the other additions remain unclear, one thing is certain: they will be led by Steph Curry, Draymond Green and Jimmy Butler next season.

But after they made the move to bring Butler to the team, things started to improve for them and they finished the season with a 23-7 record.

Although Butler was not putting up star-like numbers, his presence helped elevate the games of Curry and Green .

In his recent appearance on ABC7 News, Curry was asked if the veteran core could compete for a championship.

Theres a level of know how, I think what we did last year, those last whatever it was a third of the season after the trade deadline where we were top three in the league both offense/defense, all the metrics show we were a really good team.

Obviously, we have to stay healthy and get through regular season at a high level, but I like the identity that we have and the foundation of knowing how to play together towards the end of last season that we can hopefully transition into this year.

Warriors still can be a dangerous team The Warriors still have a lot of additions to make on their roster.

While their core three of Green, Curry and Butler are well suited to play together, they will also need a good supporting cast to compete.

Kumingas future with the Warriors is a big question mark, but even if he leaves, the Dubs will need to replace his production.

Position Player Name Point Guard Stephen Curry Shooting Guard Brandon Podziemski Small Forward Jimmy Butler Power Forward Draymond Green Center Trayce Jackson-Davis The arrival of the likes of Melton and Horford is great for the Warriors as both can contribute on both ends of the floor.

Payton was always a vital part of the rotation and his return will bring continuity to the roster.

Their veterans are highly skilled and can win basketball games, but the youngsters like Brandon Podziemski and Trayce Jackson-Davis will also have to step up if the Warriors are to be successful.

When they won the championship in 2022, they had depth in their roster and that is something missing currently, which is why they will soon have to find a solution to the Kuminga situation and make additional moves..
