Seattle Mariners Starting Pitcher Bryan Woo continued his great streak this afternoon on the road against the New York Mets.

He surrendered one earned run over six innings of work and punched out eight.

He has pitched at least six innings in all 24 of his starts this year.

That is the longest streak to start a season since Zack Greinke had 32 consecutive outings to begin the 2015 campaign.

Unfortunately, he was outpitched on this day by Nolan McLean in his MLB debut.

The Mariners pitcher is 10-7 this season with a 3.02 ERA.

He is 16th in the league in ERA, 12th in strikeouts, and seventh in WHIP.

While he had a strong rookie campaign, he came into his own last season.

If he had enough starts to qualify, he would have finished fifth in the league in ERA last season.

He has raised his level this year.

His great season helped him earn his first All-Star selection earlier this year.

Final Thoughts Woos next scheduled start is at home on August 22 against the Athletics .

He has faced the Athletics three times this season, with two of the starts being subpar.

He will look to rebound against a team not in the postseason picture.

If the young starting pitcher can keep pitching this well, Seattle will continue shooting up the American League standings..
