The Chicago Bears have released their first depth chart for the 90-man offseason roster ahead of 2025 NFL preseason opener against the Miami Dolphins.

Before we break down some notable takeaways, its important to note that these depth charts are considered unofficial because they are assembled by the teams PR staff, not the coaching staff.

So, it's not a true representation of how the coaches feel about the roster heading into the preseason.

Even still, some notable takeaways can be drawn by looking at how the depth chart is laid out.

Let's take a look at what the depth chart looks like.

Quarterback First Team: Caleb Williams Second Team: Tyson Bagent Third Team: Case Keenum Fourth Team: Austin Reed To no one's surprise, Caleb Williams is listed as QB1 for this team.

The real takeaway here is how Tyson Bagent and Case Keenum were listed, as the two are competing for the QB2 role.

Based on this list, one would assume Bagent will get the start on Sunday, saying Williams does not see the field.

Running Back First Team: D'Andre Swift Second Team: Roschon Johnson Third Team: Travis Homer Fourth Team: Ian Wheeler, Kyle Monangai, Deion Hankins This is one you shouldn't read too much into.

All the returning players are listed above the rookies but we all know how this staff truly feels about seventh-round pick Kyle Monangai.

Wide Receiver First Team: DJ Moore and Rome Odunze Second Team: Olamide Zaccheaus and Devin Duvernay Third Team: Luther Burden III and Miles Boykin Fourth Team: Tyler Scott, Samori Toure, JP Richardson, Maurice Alexander, John Jackson, Jahdae Walker The top two is expected and having Olamide Zaccheaus and Devin Duvernay should be too considering how much time rookie Luther Burden III missed.

My only takeaway here is that I'm concerned about Tyler Scott eventually getting cut considering six WRs are already above him and I'd argue UDFA JP Richardson should be as well.

Tight End First Team: Cole Kmet and Colston Loveland Second Team: Durham Smythe and Stephen Carlson Third Team: Joel Wilson and Jordan Murray Welcome to the 2TE offense.

Both Cole Kmet and Colston Loveland were listed as starters with Durham Smythe and Stephen Carlson behind them.

Joel Wilson made some plays in the spring and a handful in camp, preseason will be a big opportunity for him to step up.

The fact that Colston Loveland is basically the same size as Cole Kmet yet he can move like a WR is honestly insane.

This is going to be a very fun duo to watch.

pic.twitter.com/VW5qwZi0nT Left Tackle First Team: Braxton Jones Second Team: Ozzy Trapilo Third Team: Joshua Miles This was quite a development, but again don't take too much from this.

All of camp, it's been a three-man battle at left tackle between Braxton Jones, Ozzy Trapilo, and Kiran Amegadjie.

The first depth chart gave the nod to the veteran Jones over the rookie Trapilo, but surprisingly had Amegadjie listed at another position.

Left Guard First Team: Joe Thuney Second Team: Luke Newman Third Team: Bill Murray As expected Joe Thuney is at left guard with rookie Luke Newman listed behind him, which is somewhat interesting given Newman's versatility at multiple positions.

Seems like the coaches will have him start out at LG.

Center First Team: Drew Dalman Second Team: Doug Kramer Jr.

Third Team: Ricky Stromberg Another expected order for this position, although we have seen Ryan Bates getting some snaps in at center as well when Doug Kramer missed a little time due to injury.

Right Guard First Team: Jonah Jackson Second Team: Ryan Bates Third Team: Jordan McFadden Fourth Team: Chris Glaser Even though Bates took snaps at center, his best position as a backup is at right guard behind Jonah Jackson.

Over the last few days, Jackson got a little banged up and is ramping back to full participation with Bates sharing some of the work at RG.

Right Tackle First Team: Darnell Wright Second Team: Kiran Amegadjie Third Team: Theo Benedet Darnell Wright is, of course, the starter at right tackle.

The one day Wright was off the field for a rest day we saw Benedet take over at the position.

Seeing Amegadjie above him makes me wonder if Amegadjie will eventually start working on the right side as the LT battle clears up.

Defensive End First Team: Montez Sweat and Dayo Odeyingbo Second Team: Austin Booker and Dominique Robinson Third Team: Daniel Hardy and Tanoh Kpassagnon Exactly what we all expected off the edge.

The coaches have been impressed by Dominique Robinson, but Montez Sweat and Dayo Odeyingbo still easily hold the starting spots.

Defensive Tackle First Team: Grady Jarrett, Gervon Dexter, and Andrew Billings Second Team: Chris Williams, Zacch Pickens, and Jonathan Ford Third Team: Shemar Turner, Jamree Kromah, and Xavier Carlton Three, count them, three interior defensive lineman listed as starters.

That shows you how this defensive front could look in 2025.

The only surprise is seeing rookie Shemar Turner so low, but he's missed the majority of camp due to an ankle sprain and should in theory be listed above Zacch Pickens once he's back on the field.

Linebacker First Team: T.J.

Edwards and Tremaine Edmunds Second Team: Noah Sewell and Amen Ogbongbemiga Third Team: Ruben Hyppolite II and Carl Jones Jr.

Fourth Team: Swayze Bozeman and Power Echols The answer to who will play SAM is still unknown.

Once again, don't read too much into Amen Ogbongbemiga being listed over Ruben Hyppolite II.

It's clear some listings favored the veterans over who the coaches actually prefer.

Cornerback First Team: Jaylon Johnson, Kyler Gordon, and Tyrique Stevenson Second Team: Nahshon Wright, Josh Blackwell, and Terell Smith Third Team: Nick McCloud, Shaun Wade, and Ameer Speed Fourth Team: Zah Frazier, Tre Flowers, Jeremiah Walker This was pretty notable to me considering Nahshon Wright has basically played exclusively with the first-team with Jaylon Johnson sidelined while Tyrique Stevenson and Terell Smith rotate.

To me, Wright will be the CB2 on this defense based on how things have looked so far.

WR Rome Odunze on CB Nahshon Wright, whos been playing with the first-team defense while Jaylon Johnson is out: Man, hes a baller.

Not many 64 corners are out there with his capabilities, suddenness and agility.

Its been a challenge going against him every single day.

pic.twitter.com/ye00PYsu7M Safety First Team: Kevin Byard and Jaquan Brisker Second Team: Jonathan Owens and Elijah Brisker Third Team: Major Burns and Alex Cook Fourth Team: Tysheem Johnson I'm a little shocked by this one, and not with the top four listed at the position.

Tysheem Johnson as seemingly made a lot of impactful plays in camp, yet is listed behind Alex Cook and fellow UDFA Major Burns.

I truly think Johnson has a chance to make this team once it's all said and done.

Specialists First Team: Cairo Santos (K), Tory Taylor (P), Scott Daly (LS), and Devin Duvernay (KR/PR) Second Team: Jonathan Kim (K), Luke Elkin (LS), and Josh Blackwell (KR/PR) Everything is status quo here.

Although I am shocked some of the other WRs are listed as a option as a returner, especially Luther Burden III, whom Richard Hightower has spoken highly of.
