Yankees Aaron Boone Provides Concerning Aaron Judge Injury Update

Superstar Aaron Judge is a staple in the New York Yankees' lineup.
Besides an occasional off day, Judge resides in the No.
2 or No.
3 spot in Aaron Boone's lineup, barring an injury.
So, when Judge was suddenly missing from Saturday's lineup in a game against the surging Philadelphia Phillies, there were a lot of questions to be asked.
Shortly after the lineup came out, Boone spoke on Judge's status and confirmed everybody's worst nightmare: it was injury-related.
Boone revealed that Judge was dealing with a right elbow injury that was making it difficult to throw the ball in the outfield.

The extent of the injury will be revealed when the imaging comes back.
While Judge seemed to have trouble throwing the ball, it doesn't seem to have impacted his swing.
If that's the case, the Yankees could be forced to move Judge to the designated hitter role for the rest of the season.
This would put them in a tough spot as Giancarlo Stanton hasn't played the field since 2023.
If Judge misses time or slides to the DH, it could clear room for surging prospect Spencer Jones to land with the big league team.
Jones has slugged 13 home runs over his last 19 games in Triple-A.
