Central Receives Women’s Basketball Academic Honor

The Central College womens basketball team earned another special mention from the Womens Basketball Coaches Association for its academic achievements.

The WBCA recognizes NCAA, NAIA and two-year college teams across the country that carry the highest grade point averages.

To receive special mention, a team must carry a combined GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Central carried a 3.48 team GPA during 2024-25.

Eight Central players received American Rivers academic all-conference distinction, which requires a 3.50 cumulative GPA.

Four of those players also earned Academic All-District recognition from the College Sports Communicators..
