The Philadelphia 76ers haven't had the splashiest offseason as President of Basketball Operations Daryl Morey has been working on winning around the margins on a roster that has been in need of some younger pieces to rely on around the star trio of Joel Embiid, Paul George, and Tyrese Maxey. The Sixers landed the No.

3 pick in the draft and selected Baylor star VJ Edgecombe.

He is expected to jump in right away and contribute while free agency addition Trendon Watford is expected to give Philadelphia some help with his versatility, athleticism, and size at this stage of his career. The Sixers also added two very good big men on two-way deals in the form of Jabari Walker and Dominick Barlow.

Both bigs can play right away should Philadelphia need them to and one has to wonder if the Sixers will be relying on those two more than one might originally believe.Bleacher Report gave the Sixers a "C" for the moves they made in the offseason:No.

3 pick VJ Edgecombe joins an exciting backcourt that could get a little crowded once restricted free agent Quentin Grimes signs a new deal, inserting himself into a positional group that also includes Tyrese Maxey and Jared McCain.

If one of Edgecombe or Grimes can credibly guard small forwards, the logjam at guard might not be such a big deal.Guerschon Yabusele's exit stings, but the Sixers landed one of the better two-way big men in Dominick Barlow and executed a heist by also getting combo forward Jabari Walker on another two-way deal. Both could feature prominently in the rotation if Joel Embiid or Paul George miss more time.

The latter is already off to a rough start on the health front, having undergone arthroscopic surgery to repair an offseason injury to his left knee.Ultimately, the fortunes of the Sixers in the coming season will depend on the stars.

Philadelphia will need those three to be healthy and on the floor in order to have any type of chance in the 2025-26 season.

If not? Then the moves Morey and Co.

made in the 2025 offseason won't matter too much in the grand scheme of things. This article originally appeared on Sixers Wire: Philadelphia 76ers draw middling grade for overall offseason moves.
