ECHL: Isak Walther Brings Size and Skill to Atlanta Lineup

The Atlanta Gladiators have signed forward Isak Walther for the 202526 ECHL season, adding size, skill, and hockey sense to their forward group.

In his senior season, he recorded 17 points (6G, 11A) over 33 games and netted the game-winning goal against Maine in the Hockey East playoffs.
Across 128 NCAA games, he totaled 56 points (23G, 33A), showcasing consistency and a strong two-way presence.
Draft Pedigree and Physical Development The Nashville Predators selected Walther in the sixth round (#179 overall) of the 2019 NHL Draft.
Since then, he has steadily added strength to complement his natural reach and sizesomething thats changed the way he approaches his game.
I feel like I can use my body more, Walther said.
When I played juniors, I would maybe use my quickness rather than have a guy on me and try to push him away.
That physical growth has given him more confidence in puck protection and net-front battles, which should translate well to the pro level.
Gladiators Director of Hockey Operations and Head Coach Matt Ginn praised the signing and Walthers well-rounded game.
Isak is a big body coming off a successful college career at Vermont.
He has very good hands and a good shot.
Isak uses his size and strength effectively to get to the dirty areas on the ice.
