Seahawks land final unsigned draft pick, TE Elijah Arroyo of Miami

So much for the second-round NFL draft pick impasse.

A day after agreeing to a deal with safety Nick Emmanwori, the Seahawks reached agreement Friday with tight end Elijah Arroyo of Miami on his four-year rookie contract.

The Seahawks have all 11 members of its 2025 draft class under contract as they prepare for the opening of training camp on Wednesday.

A league source confirmed the agreement to The Seattle Times.

Emmanwori and Arroyo were among 30 NFL second-round picks who entered the week unsigned as teams and players and their agents negotiated how much of their four-year deals would be guaranteed.

Emmanwori, the 35 th overall pick, got all $11.6 million of his contract guaranteed, becoming the first player taken 35 th overall to get a fully guaranteed deal since the league implanted a rookie wage scale in 2011.

No second-round pick had gotten a fully guaranteed deal until this season as teams stuck to not guaranteeing the salaries of the final year or two.

Arroyo, taken 50 th , did not get a fully guaranteed deal.

According to ESPN, Arroyo got $6.872 million of the total $8.813 million of his four-year contract guaranteed.

Arroyo gets a signing bonus of just over $3 million as well as yearly salaries of $840,000, $1.34 million, $1.64 million and $2.041 million.

The ESPN report indicates Arroyo got all of the first three years of salary guaranteed (for seasons 2025, 2026 and 2027) and a partial amount of the fourth.

Years and salary for rookie contracts are set via the CBA, but teams and players can negotiate aspects such as guarantees and timing of payments.

A handful of second-round picks began to sign over the last few days, which appeared to set floors and ceilings for teams and players to negotiate off and has led to more signings.

The Seahawks' rookies reported on Tuesday and have been taking part in meetings, conditioning and light workouts on the field.

Emmanwori and Arroyo will join that group.

Veterans report Tuesday with practice beginning Wednesday.

Arroyo is expected to earn substantial playing time this season in the Seahawks' tight-end rotation, which is headed by veterans Noah Fant and AJ Barner.

The 6-foot-5, 254-pound Arroyo caught 35 passes for 590 yards and seven touchdowns last year at Miami playing alongside Heisman Trophy winner and eventual No.

1 overall pick Cam Ward..
