Major League Baseball might be onto something here.
Twenty-three years after then-commissioner Bud Selig famously shrugged when officials asked him how they should end an All-Star Game still tied after 11 innings he chose to call it the league had a new option.
No extra innings.
No ghost runners.
No tie.
Instead, the American League and National League squared off in a home run derby-style swing-off to decide the winner.
Each side had three sluggers, and each slugger got three swings.
Talk about drama.
