Jessie Clemons, former Pleasant Valley star, wins Jack North Softball Award

Jessie Clemons is back at the Iowa high school softball championship game, this time to collect an award.

Clemons, coming off a unanimous first-team All-Big-12 freshman season at Iowa State University, led Pleasant Valley to the 2024 5A state championship .

For her performance in the playoffs last season, Clemons earned The Jack North Softball Award on Thursday before the 4A State Championship game between Pella and North Polk.

The Jack North Award is the highest honor the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union awards to an individual.

During a decorated high school career, Clemons competed in three sports: Softball, basketball and track.

Clemons was named captain of the Class 5A all-tournament team.

Last season with the Cyclones, Clemons led ISU with a .367 batting average, 65 hits and 13 doubles..
