Former Clemson wide receiver Diondre Overton died at age 26, a Clemson official confirmed Saturday afternoon.

Details on his cause of death were not disclosed.

In four seasons, he caught 52 career passes for 777 yards and seven touchdowns as a key reserve through the Tigers run through the College Football Playoff.

Several of Overtons former Clemson teammates took to social media Saturday morning to mourn his passing.
