Dolphins predicted to 'stay the course' with Tyreek Hill through Miami's training camp | Sporting News

With training camps set to begin soon, NFL teams could still make a splash on the trade market and the Miami Dolphins are one of the teams worth watching.
The Dolphins already dealt away Jalen Ramsey and Jonnu Smith this offseason.
In return, they received All-Pro safety Minkah Fitzpatrick from the Steelers, though it took a separate trade with the Giants to land veteran tight end Darren Waller.
Ramsey and Smith were two names widely expected to be wearing new uniforms by the start of the 2025 season.
Another name that continues to surface in speculation is star wide receiver Tyreek Hill.
There are multiple reasons why.
Hills frustration with the Dolphins began surfacing publicly late last season.
He even appeared to throw shade his own quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa , in a TikTok video where he left him off a list of the leagues best signal-callers.
Add that to Miamis unstable roster and shifting team dynamics, and the chatter around Hill's future hasn't gone away.
Still, CBS Sports Jeff Kerr believes a trade involving Hill isnt imminent.
The Dolphins shedded some salary this offseason with several moves, the latest one sending Jalen Ramsey and Jonnu Smith to the Steelers in exchange for Minkah Fitzpatrick, Kerr wrote.
They also let Jevon Holland walk this offseason, a year after Christian Wilkins departed in free agency.
Follow The Sporting News on WhatsApp Hill voiced his displeasure last season in Miami, and has three years remaining on his four-year, $120 million contract.
The locker room culture had to affect him, along with the constant inconsistencies of the offense when Tua Tagovailoa was injured.
When Tagovailoa plays, Hill is one of the most productive receivers in football but the 31-year-old Hill can be productive for any team.
Perhaps Hill forces a trade out of Miami at some point, but it won't be in training camp.
The Dolphins are still playoff contenders when their offensive stars are healthy, and this is a make-it-or-break-it year for Mike McDaniel.
They'll stay the course at the start of the year.
Trading Hill now would all but confirm a hard reset in Miami a disastrous outcome that would only further destabilize the future of Tagovailoa.
Tagovailoa has only been successful with Tyreek, and thats because Tyreek gets the most out of a quick-game master like Tua, Fox Sports Henry McKenna wrote .
If Hill goes, might things get worse for Tua? (Hint: Yes, almost definitely.) If the Dolphins hope to return to the playoffs after missing out last year, Hill must remain part of the formula.
Otherwise, McDaniel, Tagovailoa, and possibly much of the front office could be headed out of Miami right behind him..
