Nolan Smith Jr. presented with Georgia Citizenship Award

SAVANNAH, Ga.
(WSAV) Senator Derek Mallow presented Savannah Native and Eagles' linebacker Nolan Smith Jr.
with an Outstanding Georgia Citizenship Award Sunday.Smith received the award after he hosted his 5th annual "Pups Day Out" camp in the Hostess City.The camp was completely free and had 150 total kids in the area sign up.
Along with football guidance, each camper kid also received a free backpack with back-to-school supplies.Smith preached the importance of getting outside and taking advantages of opportunities like NIL, which he wasn't able to be a part of in college."I try to give them that encouragement and that extra push," said Smith.
"I tell them [football] is an avenue that you can do to change your life."Smith graduated from the University of Georgia, and is currently training for his third season on the Philadelphia Eagles..
