With the downtime of the NFL offseason creeping toward an end, it will be a glorious sight to see real football news start to trickle in as training camp draws near.

The time for rankings, retrospectives, and uninformed hot takes can be enjoyable, but they can also grow tiresome.

As camp approaches for the Tennessee Titans, the only remaining story left to be answered before reporting is when second-round pick Femi Oladejo will finally sign his contract.

Like the majority of second-rounders, he is waiting for the logjam to break above him before coming in.

Outside of that, or a possible contract extension or outside addition, the other questions cant be addressed until the pads go on and the real competition begins.

Luckily, those battles kick off in 10 days when the Titans report to camp.

Tennessee has some interesting position battles ahead and will have to make some tough roster decisions before the start of the season.

Additionally, the overhauled roster features a multitude of new faces to get to know and root for.

Dan Parr of NFL.com has already chosen who he will be rooting for in 2025: Rookie quarterback Cam Ward.Tennessee Titans - Cam WardFor much of this century, Tennessees quarterback play has fluctuated between passable and the stuff nightmares are made of.

The Titans have had a bottom-six scoring offense for three years in a row, and the franchise has drafted four quarterbacks in the top 10 since 2005 (most in the NFL).

The new hope is Ward, who went from a zero-star recruit to the first overall pick of this years draft.

He had success at all three of his college stops, going from Incarnate Word to Washington State to Miami, and I want to see him finally bring some stability to the position.

He has the tools to do it, if he can just limit the YOLO throws that come back to bite him.

So, this selection is for you, Titans fans.

Lets go, Cam.Ward is easy to root for.

The former first overall pick in the NFL draft has grown at every stage of his career and has all of the tools to develop into a top-tier signal caller.

More importantly, he has the leadership qualities and work ethic to make it happen.

While there may be some rough patches during his rookie season, he appears mature enough to overcome any setbacks that may arise.Tennessee drafted Ward to become the face of the franchise and help lead the team to prominence.

Although it has only been a small sample size, he appears to be up for the challenge.
