Caitlin Clark's boyfriend has made himself a whole lot more popular

Caitlin Clark gifted each of her boyfriend's college basketball team players a new pair of her signature Kobe Bryant Nike sneakers this past week.

Clark has been in a relationship with Connor McCaffery for the past two years after meeting at college together at Iowa - where she had become a superstar with the Hawkeyes.

McCaffery had left Iowa in 2023 to take up a coaching position with the Indiana Pacers , before moving to college basketball with Butler the following year.

She would follow McCaffery to Indianapolis after the Indiana Fever selected her with the first overall pick in the 2024 draft.

McCaffery chose to leave the Pacers for Butler, taking up a bigger role with the college basketball team as an assistant coach - where he's now heading into his second season with the team.

And while McCaffery has become a respected figure in and around the team, Clark's latest actions will have made him even more popular.

Clark is said to have gifted everyone on the Butler team a pair of her new signature Nike shoes, in Butler blue colors.

The Kobe V Protro "Caitlin Clark" PE is Clark's first player-exclusive shoe with Nike, with the colors matching her WNBA team's jersey - also looking very similar to Butler's.

Her new signature sneakers had sold out almost immediately on multiple websites, with Clark saving a pair for everyone on the Butler team.

Clark signed her huge $28 million deal with Nike after being drafted into the WNBA, receiving the biggest shoe deal ever to a women's basketball star.

She had been approached by Adidas, Puma and Under Armour, before agreeing an eight-year deal with Nike, now releasing her first signature shoe.

The 23-year-old makes significantly more from her off-the-court brand deals in comparison to what she receives from the Fever - currently having a four-year, $338,000 contract as the first overall pick.

Clark and McCaffery went public with their relationship in August 2023, as she revealed that they had been together for several months prior to that when Clark posted on their 12-month anniversary in April 2024.

The two are believed to be living together in Indianapolis, while Clark is now back in the midst of her WNBA season after enjoying almost five months off after the end of the 2024 campaign.
