The Calgary Flames were a very busy team last off-season and into last season.

General Manager Craig Conroy was able to move out players on expiring contracts or veteran players and acquire assets as the Flames rebuild is on.

We saw Craig Conroy trade Tyler Toffoli , Chris Tanev , Nikita Zadorov , Elias Lindholm , Noah Hanifin , and most recently, Andrew Mangiapane to acquire younger pieces like Yegor Sharangovich , Kevin Bahl , Artem Grushnikov, Andrei Kuzmenko , along with numerous draft picks and other prospects.

So, as much as Calgary is not rebuilding, there is a rebuilding going on.

It appears that Craig Conroy has not finished reshaping this roster.

David Pagnotta of the Fourth Period and NHL Network Insider joined Jamie Hersch last week and was asked if the Calgary Flames and Craig Conroy have finished this off-season and if they could head into the upcoming season.

Full Press Hockey Transcription Jamie Hersch: Earlier this summer, another goalie was on the move north of the border, as the Flames sent Jacob Markstrom out East.

The Flames have been very busy so far under GM.

Craig Conroy, the last couple of seasons.

Do you have any updates on their plans for the rest of this offseason? David Pagnotta: Craig Conroy, phone lines are wide open.

His door to his office is open if you want to send them a fax; if you still do that, do it.

Hes willing to listen.

Youve got Nazem Kadri that they are willing to trade now.

Naz has no movement clause.

My understanding is he would be willing to go a little bit more East, not necessarily back home to Toronto, but somewhere in that vicinity.

Calgary Flames: Calgary Flames GM Craig Conroy Continues To Execute New Jersey Devils: How Close Is Dawson Mercer to Signing with the New Jersey Devils? Boston Bruins: NHL Rumors: When Will Jeremy Swayman Sign with the Boston Bruins In addition to him, Rasmus Andersson , theyre willing to take calls on.

Andersson, stll has another year left on his contract, and has some no-trade protection, but theres some belief within the Flames and within the National Hockey League that this might be his last season as a Calgary Flame, that the Flames will be seriously looking at moving him this season, if something isnt done throughout the summer.

MacKenzie Weegar generated some interest over the summer as well.

I believe St Louis, before they went in the direction of Philip Broberg , were kicking tires on, which I know is around the draft.

There were some discussions, but Calgary willing to listen on Weegar as well.

So right now, Calgary is kind of open.

Theyre unofficially entertaining the whole thought process of a full-on rebuild.

They havent officially gone in that direction yet, but if theyre willing to listen on Kadri and Andersson and Weegar and Jonathan Huberdeau even, youve got to imagine that that rebuild session is not that far behind.

So were going to keep tabs on that, certainly, and everybody should, as the Calgary Flames pretty much open for business if they get the right packages in place.

The Calgary Flames will be a team worth watching early on in the season, and it will be interesting to see who else they decide to move out as they build towards the future.
